Chapter 10

“You can't run forever, runner boy!” Oscar chuckles as he grabbed a stool, smiling sheepishly at Henry and Bianca's back figure running away. He grabbed the property transfer documents, joyfully waving them in the air.

“Did he just call me runner boy? I will teach him a good lesson” Henry flared up with his veins throbbing out of his neck. He turns around, taking some steps toward Oscar.

Bianca pulled his back

“Let's just get the heck out of here”

Bianca grabbed the bag of guns Henry left behind.

“We might need this.”

They both arrived at the main door.

Footsteps echoed before the main door.

“Are you ready?” Henry inquired.

Bianca nods positively with a smile.

“Always ready.”

Henry opened the door at once with his feet. Bullets triggered from the guns held by multiple men toward Henry and Bianca.

Henry and Bianca both slide their legs on the smooth red rug mat like a chute in playgrounds, with an arm on the ground supporting the angle they slid to. They both pulled out a gun from the bag, firing the men in black as they slides onto the floor.

“Wow!” Henry happily shouts seeing all the men were dead. They stood upright, Henry raised his arm in the air.

“High five?”

He gradually puts down his arm as he noticed Bianca's sad face. Her arms were trembling as the bag filled with guns dropped from her.

“I murdered them.” Her voice cracks as she scans the men she killed.

“Come on! This isn't a crime at all. It's called self-defense.” Henry convinced her.

“Self-defense? More like preparation for vengeance.“ Bianca's frown turned to an optimistic grin as she grabbed the bag, clutching her fingers on it.

“Let's do more.“ Bianca's brown eyes widened.

“No… no… let's run,” Henry suggested illustrating with his fingers.

Henry pulled Bianca out of the mansion.

“Phew!“ Henry sighs as he was panting heavily. He took a look at Bianca whose breathing rate was normal.

“You do this often, right?” Henry asked her.

“I've always been running from death all my life,” Bianca said staring at a wide space with her lips spreading from ear to ear.

“I forgot to destroy the documents I signed earlier.” Henry slammed his palm on his head. He forgot about the documents while trying to save his life.

“It's not too late to go back.” Bianca smiled nictitating her eyes.

“Just forget that. We need to keep going.“ Henry said as he hops in his car. The men in black strode out of the mansion with guns.

“Get inside already,” Henry ordered as Bianca hops in the car, propelling the bag filled with guns and bullets to the back seat.

The men in black started firing their guns at the black moving car Henry was driving. They all hopped in another black car speeding after Henry's car.

“Whoa,” Bianca exclaimed, enjoying the ride. She winds down the window recollecting the accident that once led her into a coma.

“I don't care anymore, all I want is to stay alive or die with Henry. He's the only one that cares about my existence” Bianca murmured to herself, staring at Henry whose eyes were fixed on the road.

Bianca shut her eyes, trying to calm her racing heart which could explode any minute later out of fear. or love?

The breeze blew a flyer hung on a wall to Bianca's face.

“Shit!” Bianca groaned as she grasps the flyer off her face. She squeezes the flyer, she was about to dump it out of the car, and she paused as her eyes met a strange thing on the flyer.

Bianca unfolds the flyer, her eyes widened seeing her picture pasted on the flyer with an indication 'Missing'.

Bianca took a peek out of the window, she gasps as she sighted numerous flyers with her picture pasted everyone.

“No way!” Bianca tore the flyer with irritation. She balls the flyer out of the car with a frown.

“David knows you are alive, already?” Henry quaked as he sped the vehicle into life. He chuckles with his head ringing when he sighted the reward given to the person who could offer Bianca back to David on the flyers before him.

“David!“ Bianca slumped her shoulder remembering her stepfather. They got to a spot where the car halted at a stop. They both alighted from the car.

“Where are we?” Bianca questions as her eyes scan the weird surroundings. The roadway scarcely had people passing by. Everything was so silent that every voice echoed.

“My old home, they can't find us here, ” Henry uttered as he walked to a door before them. He used his fingerprints to open the door.

Bianca taps her toe continuously on the ground as echoes of a car speeding towards them resound. “They are right behind us, Henry!” Bianca yells as she hastily pushes Henry. The door finally responded as it became wide open.

They both strode into the weird house and the door locks itself immediately. The inside looked strange to Bianca but she believes everywhere is home to her.

“They will be unable to find us here.”

“How sure are you?“ Bianca became curious as she fixed her eyes on Henry.

“Don't you trust me?” Henry uttered as he strode to the security room, switching on all his security cameras. He took a seat as he folds his arms on his chest watching the men in black perambulating around that area. They were so confused.

“What with the look? What's the matter?” Henry asked as he took a glimpse of Bianca's worried face.

“That sentence reminded me of my mother. My poor mum must be damn worried about me. ” Bianca crouched on a chair beside Henry staring at the computers.

“Don't worry, I will get you home, soon.” Henry grins.

Bianca laid her head on Henry's shoulder smiling sheepishly.

“I miss my mother but… but I don't want to leave you.”

Henry's eyes ball out as he pushed her away.

“What do you mean?“

“I know you love me too, why the pretense?” Bianca asked as she moved closer to Henry, waggling her fingers on his chest. Henry began to have mental and physical discomfort as Bianca waggles her finger to his chin, sending chills to his senses.

Henry stood up trying to hide the fact that his body moved due to her touch.

“Hmmm… I need to go freshen up.” He pulled off his black suit and rushed into a room upstairs.

Bianca watched him go with a glamorous smile.

“He's so cute.”

Bianca's eyeballs moved to the computers, she sighted Oscar alight from his car with resentment in his eyes.

He pulled out his gun, shooting every corner.

“How could you let them go?” Oscar yells with his throbbing veins showing out in his neck region, all his men came in place, bowing their heads.

“It wasn't deliberate, Boss. They disappeared.“ A man in black replied. Oscar gnashed his teeth as he smacks his face.

“How dare you talk back at me?” Oscar's voice echoes as they all stood still like a statue.

“I'm sorry.”

“You all should be more sorry because you will all lose your lives any second from now. Now find them or you sacrifice your lives in their stead” Oscar declared. They all vanished, checking every nook of that environment.

“Henry!!” Oscar gnashed with his clenched fist shaking profusely.
