Chapter 2

The morning light filtered through the penthouse windows as I arranged crystal flutes on a silver tray, each movement precise and measured. Tonight would be Alexander's first official "showcase event"—the next evolution of his depraved business venture. My fingers trembled slightly as I placed the last glass, remembering Marcus Wellington's visit three nights ago.

"Rachel, darling," Alexander's voice cut through my thoughts as he entered the living room, adjusting his platinum cufflinks. "Everything must be perfect tonight. We have twelve very important clients coming."

I nodded, keeping my eyes downcast. "The champagne is chilling, and the hors d'oeuvres will arrive at six."

"Excellent." He approached, lifting my chin with his finger. "And you'll be wearing the new collection I selected. The red La Perla set first, then the black Agent Provocateur, and finally that delicate white ensemble."

Something cold settled in my stomach. "A fashion show?"

His laugh was sharp. "Of sorts. More of a product demonstration." He handed me a glossy brochure. "Your services menu. I've had it professionally designed."

The document in my hands was sleek, expensive paper with elegant typography. My eyes widened as I read the contents—a detailed pricing list for various sexual acts, each with a clinical description and rate. Next to some items were small gold stars, indicating "premium experiences."

"You've... itemized me," I whispered, fighting to keep my voice steady.

"I've monetized an asset," he corrected, straightening his tie. "And quite efficiently. The preliminary interest suggests we'll clear seven figures monthly."

My earpiece crackled faintly. "We're documenting everything, Your Highness," James's voice was barely audible. "Each client will be identified and added to the case file."

Those words anchored me as I prepared for the evening ahead.

---

By nine o'clock, our penthouse had transformed into something between a luxury showroom and a high-end brothel. Twelve men in expensive suits lounged on our furniture, drinking rare whiskey and eyeing me with undisguised hunger as I stood on a small platform Alexander had installed for the occasion.

"Gentlemen," Alexander announced, standing beside me. "Allow me to properly introduce my wife, Rachel."

He circled me slowly, his hand trailing across my exposed skin as I stood there in the red lingerie set. I focused on a distant point on the wall, disconnecting from my body as he described me like a prize thoroughbred.

"Note the perfect proportion of her breasts," he said, cupping them for demonstration as several men leaned forward. "And the responsiveness here—" his fingers pinched, and I suppressed a wince, "—is quite exceptional."

For forty-five minutes, he continued his clinical assessment of my body, directing me to turn, bend, and pose while detailing my "sexual capabilities" with the detachment of a livestock auctioneer. With each new lingerie set, his commentary became more explicit, more degrading.

"As you can see in your brochures," Alexander concluded as I stood silently in the white lingerie, "we've created a comprehensive menu of services. The basic package starts at fifty thousand for two hours, but I highly recommend the premium experience."

I watched as these powerful men—CEOs, hedge fund managers, tech moguls—flipped through the brochures containing my "services menu," discussing my body parts as though selecting cuts at a butcher shop.

---

Three days after the showcase, I discovered the website while Alexander was at his office. "Premium Wife Rentals" appeared on his laptop when I accessed his browser history using the password James had helped me crack.

My hands shook as I navigated through the sleek, members-only portal. Over two hundred registered users, each paying $10,000 monthly for access. The site featured a calendar marking my "availability," professional photographs I never consented to, and most disturbing—a rating system.

Under "Reviews," dozens of entries detailed encounters with me, rating my performance, compliance, and specific attributes on a five-star scale. Men I recognized from Alexander's social circle had written paragraphs analyzing my body and behavior as if reviewing a restaurant.

"Obedient but somewhat mechanical," wrote one banking executive I'd met at charity galas. "Alexander promised she would improve with training."

I closed the laptop and rushed to the bathroom, emptying the contents of my stomach. As I rinsed my mouth, I caught my reflection in the mirror—hollow eyes staring back at a woman I barely recognized.

"James," I whispered into my hidden communicator, "I need the team to archive this website. Every user, every comment, every transaction."

"Already in progress, Your Highness," he responded. "We've identified eighty-seven of the members so far. Their day will come."

I straightened my shoulders, my resolve hardening. Alexander had turned my humiliation into a subscription service. When my revenge came, it would not be swift—it would be absolute.

A text alert chimed on my phone. Alexander: "Victoria Ashford coming tomorrow for audition. Be ready to serve."

My replacement audition was beginning. Little did Alexander know, he was simply adding another name to his eventual prosecution.
