Chapter 1

"Mm… Slow down, honey... You'll wake Julie..."

Chasing a thrill, my best friend, Natalie Turner, and her husband, Scott Turner, were actually making love right in front of me.

Their hushed, breathy sounds filled the room, intimate and unmistakable. My face burned the entire time, heat rushing straight to my ears.

I barely dared to breathe as I froze in place, waiting until Natalie finally drifted into unconscious sleep.

And then, the very next second, Scott climbed onto me.

My name was Julie Carr. I had perfect curves and soft, pale skin, and I was right at the age when a woman's beauty felt effortless and alive.

And yet, a woman like me somehow ended up married to the wrong man. My husband, Colin Carr, is skinny, weak, and completely useless where it mattered most.

We had been married for almost two years, and I had never once experienced what people called the joy of being a woman.

Today was the breaking point. Natalie Turner, my best friend, sent me another nude photo of her husband, Scott Turner, proudly showing him off like she always did.

Something inside me finally snapped.

I stopped worrying about Colin's pride and said it straight.

"Could you at least try to improve yourself? If nothing else, maybe work on your body a little. Having abs would at least be nice to look at. Even if you finished fast, I could live with that."

That must have hit his ego hard, because he immediately turned on me, accusing me of thinking about it all day.

"If you've got that much free time, go get a job. Honestly, a woman like you should be grateful I married you."

I was so angry that I couldn't even find words. I was a woman with normal needs. Was that really wrong?

Neither of us backed down. The argument ended with both of us furious and silent.

I stormed out of the house in anger. Perfect timing, too. Natalie told me Scott was on a business trip, so I could stay at her place.

Natalie and I had known each other since school. We were incredibly close, the kind of friends who told each other everything.

Ever since she learned how unhappy my marriage was, she had constantly tried to tempt me into cheating.

But even though I felt lonely and frustrated, I was still conservative at heart.

I blushed just wearing slightly revealing clothes.

Actually hooking up with some stranger like she suggested? No way.

Besides, Colin might have been useless in bed, but at least he earned enough to support us.

I could never bring myself to cross that line.

Natalie prepared a huge spread for me, then opened a bottle of whiskey, saying we were spending time together like old times.

We drank happily, and before long, my bad mood disappeared completely.

As the conversation got livelier, that crazy woman suddenly said she wanted to share Scott with me.

"You have no idea how incredible Scott is," she said, grinning. "He lasts forever. Over an hour every time."

Gosh, an hour.

Just imagining it made my heart race.

Scott wasn't just handsome. He was tall, broad-shouldered, and had perfectly defined abs.

Honestly, I had secretly fantasized about him more than once before, though I buried those embarrassing thoughts deep inside myself.

No matter how lonely I felt, I couldn't seriously desire my best friend's husband.

I forced a serious expression. "Don't be ridiculous. How could you share your husband with me?"

Natalie shrugged like it was nothing. She said he wouldn't mind. I was her best friend, and she was willing to share anything with me, even him.

I laughed. "Sure. Then lend him to me sometime."

I couldn't help smiling, treating it as nothing more than drunken joking.

By the time we finished drinking, we were both tipsy. We stumbled into the bedroom together and quickly fell into a deep sleep.

Sometime in the middle of the night, while I was sleeping soundly, faint rustling sounds woke me.

"No... Julie's still here."

It was Natalie's voice, deliberately lowered.

My mind was foggy, and I wondered who she was talking to.

I slowly opened my eyes and saw a figure leaning over her, his head buried against her neck, kissing her.

"Julie can't handle alcohol. She won't wake up," a man whispered.

My heart nearly stopped.

It was Scott.

Wasn't he supposed to be on a business trip? Why was he back already?

"And besides... Doesn't this make it more exciting?"

"Mmm, you're terrible..."

The two of them quickly lost themselves in each other, completely forgetting the world around them.
