Chapter 3

After discussing the details of the assets division, I checked a message from Grayson.

"There's something urgent. Come to my company."

I thought about it for a moment. It didn't matter if something happened to him. If something happened to the company, I wouldn't get much money.

As soon as I arrived at the front desk, I heard a burst of laughter.

The girls at the front desk giggled and called Selah.

"Selah, you're right. As long as you send a message to her with Mr. Foley's mobile phone, she will run over happily like a dog."

After a while, Selah walked out of the elevator.

"Carlee, are you here to see Mr. Foley? But Mr. Foley is busy and doesn't see outsiders."

She emphasized the word "outsider" deliberately.

Now, in everyone's eyes, Selah was the lover that Grayson had publicly acknowledged.

And I was just an outsider.

I pointed at the group of people who had laughed at me just now. "You guys, pack up and leave."

This company was founded by Grayson and me. I held a lot of shares, so it would be a piece of cake for me to fire a few employees.

Selah immediately pulled a long face.

"What right do you have to show off here? Mrs. Murphy and I will take care of everything."

I couldn't be bothered to argue with her. Just as I was about to call Grayson, I saw him walking over.

"Why are you here?"

I thought that Grayson would be angry. After all, every time I came to find him, he felt that I had embarrassed him and was very impatient with me.

But this time, there seemed to be a hint of pride in his tone.

Selah took the initiative to complain tearfully.

"I don't know what's wrong with Carlee. She made a scene as soon as she arrived, saying that we seduced you and wanted to fire us."

"Carlee!" His face immediately turned cold.

"I can accept that you are stupid and ugly, but your suspicious look makes me sick."

He sighed again. "I really regret being with you."

The girls around them covered their mouths and sneered.

Selah looked at me with a victorious expression.

But it was strange that I didn't feel anything.

Perhaps I had already known that Grayson would say so.

When he had cheated on me, our friends had advised him not to abandon me.

But he said, "Do you know how sick she is? Any man who is with her will have an affair. She deserves to be abandoned since she was a child.

"She cares about everything all day long but doesn't care about her figure. It's a failure for a woman to live like this."

At that time, I got fat because of social matters in order to help him.

After knowing what he had said, I felt inferior and scared all day long.

Food made me nauseous.

I got stomach problems because of this.

Then I didn't dare to attend any dinner party or meet anyone.

My weight was under control gradually, but my stomach disease could not be cured.

As a result, I had always been weak.

"Why don't you reply? Are you feeling guilty? No wonder Karli left you. A woman like you doesn't deserve a wife or a mother."

At the mention of the lost child, my heart suddenly ached.

Every time we quarreled, Grayson would hurt me with the most painful thing in my heart.

He forced me to get angry and argue with him, and then laughed at my hysterical face with an impatient expression as if he had expected it.

But this time, I was very calm.

"Then don't force yourself. I've already prepared the divorce agreement. Let's get a divorce."

I handed the divorce agreement to him and then picked up a long curly brown hair naturally from him.

Grayson's eyes trembled slightly.

"It's not what you think..." He quickly returned to normal and sighed. "Don't make a fool of yourself. I don't have the patience to forgive and tolerate you again and again."

I continued to stare at him and saw that he was starting to panic.

Then, I tried my best to remain calm and said something that I had been trying to say for a long time.

"You have no right to mention Karli. I already knew what you did on the day of my miscarriage."

The day of the miscarriage was the turning point of our marriage.

It was also the beginning of the story between Grayson and Selah.

I had been avoiding the cruel truth for a long time. Now, I had to make up my mind to face it.

"Carlee!" He was in a complete panic.

I said despite my heartache. "You want me to tell the truth about what happened here in front of all these people?"
