Chapter 2

It was a ring I made myself by staying up the whole night for several days and it had my name and his name engraved on it.

"Just try it on. I asked a ring designer to design it for you. It might look better than yours."

He then took the ring and put it on my finger.

But he could not put it on no matter how hard he tried.

"This is Yasmin's size, right?"

Suddenly, his face turned pale.

I lost my appetite and left the table.

Leonard suddenly shouted from behind me. "Yasmin has returned to Arrendale and hasn't tidy up her house yet, so she's going to stay with us for now."

It turned out that he had done so much just to get Yasmin to move in.

Hearing this, Armand beside him was overjoyed and exclaimed. "Yeay, Yasmin is coming to live with us, that's great!"

I returned to the scientific research headquarters and signed an agreement for the space program.

"This trip will last three years. Have you discussed this with your husband and son?"

The person in charge confirmed it again and again.

I nodded and replied, "The sea of stars is my dream."

After handling the matter, it was already evening when I got home.

I took out the key and tried to open the door but there was no response.

I frowned and knocked on the door vigorously before Leonard came to open it for me.

"Did you change the lock?"

He nodded and said, "Yasmin said that the previous locks have been eliminated and no one uses them."

When I heard his words, I simply spread my hands and asked, "Where are the keys?"

As the words fell, hi eyes fluttered a bit and his tone was vague.

"I only had three, forgot yours."

Yasmin, Armand and he each had one.

I did not mind anything. I just reminded him. "Remember to prepare it and give it to me tomorrow."

Afterwards, when I walked into the house, I saw that Yasmin had already moved in with dignity.

Leonard and Armand were now celebrating her birthday.

The three of them chose to ignore me.

After the candle went out, he asked our son with a smile.

"It's Yasmin's birthday, what did you wish for? Tell me, what did you wish for?"

Armand looked shyly at her and said, "I want Yasmin to be my mom."

Upon hearing this, I was stunned, but only for a moment.

Armand had been closer to Leonard since he was born and he had never concealed his disdain for me.

Immediately after, Leonard asked Yasmin what wish she had made.

Yasmin blushed, feeling a little shy. "I hope our family of three can live happily together."

As soon as she finished speaking, my phone rang, breaking the happy atmosphere of their "family".

It was my friend. "Happy birthday, Joanna!"

It was very loud and Leonard obviously heard it too.

He looked at me incredulously. "Today is also your birthday? Why didn't you tell me?"

Yasmin also said sympathetically, "It's your birthday too, Joanna. What a coincidence, so I'll use this cake of mine to celebrate your birthday."

Leonard also reacted very quickly and urged me to come over and even took the candle that had just been lit and wanted to put it in.

After putting some candles, his hand suddenly stopped. "Wait, how old are you now? We need to lit the candles."

"Thirty, I married you at twenty."

As soon as the candles lit, he asked me to sit down.

But I saw that the cake, which had already been cut in half, did not have my name written on it.

The cream on top mixed with the wax dripping from the candle, just like my life for the past ten years, was a mess.

I shook my head and said, "No need, just eat it."

Of course, they did not pay much attention to me either.

At night, Leonard hugged me warmly.

Rubbing in my ear and temples, he said, "Joanna, I owe Yasmin so much for marrying you. As long as you coax her well, our wedding is not a problem."
