Targeted Betrayal: My Evil Brother and the 300,000 Deposit
Chapter 5
Clay was delighted. "It's done!"
"Ah? What's done?"
"Mr. Gray's investment, just wait and see. I'll be rich in a few days! And I won't even look at those gold-digging women!"
I snorted in my heart, how shameless. You look down on them?
Someone who went out for a date and asked the girl to go for a walk on the street in the scorching heat of over 30 degrees. Someone who bought a cup of Starbucks and paid in Dutch treat with the girl.
I wouldn't be interested in you either if it were me! Stingy man!
My mother said, "The agent said we have to move out of this house before the day after tomorrow. Where can we live in such a hurry?"
After hearing what my mother said, everyone looked worried.
Clay suddenly looked at me and said, "Yara, have you bought a house?"
It came down on me like a bolt from the blue, leaving me completely stunned.
I did buy it. I bought it secretly and didn't even tell my colleagues.
How did he know?
My parents looked at me and asked, "Have you bought a house?"
I quickly calmed down and pretended to know nothing. "What? I bought a house? When did I buy it? How come I didn't know?"
"That's not right. Then why did you look for the construction team? I just remembered that I have a friend who works in construction and saw you look for the construction team to renovate. Didn't you buy it?"
My parents stared at me intently.
I smiled and said, "You mean that house? That belongs to my colleague. I helped her find the construction team. She just bought a house and asked me to help her."
"How can I afford to buy a house? It's so expensive. I'm still living in a rental house now!"
My mother was relieved to hear me say that, and she held my hand and said, "If you want to buy a house, you have to discuss it with us. After all, it's a big deal."
My parents were busy renting the house and moving those days.
One night, three of them sneaked out and didn't come back until a long time later.
The three of them came back beaming with joy.
I could guess it without them telling me. The so-called Mr. Gray gave them dividends.
I curled the corners of my mouth, that was great.
