Chapter 2

After organizing the materials in the library, I went out with my classmates.

Then a weak meow came from the bushes next to me.

A cute little calico cat popped out.

I smiled and took out the cat food I always carried with me, and added it to the bowl.

The little kitten was probably three months old. It meowed at me a few times and then lowered its head to eat greedily.

"Do you like cats?" A shadow was cast on the ground in front of me.

I turned around, and it was Eden.

I didn't expect to meet him here.

I remembered that I didn't accept his friend request last night, so I nodded without thinking.

"Yeah, there are a lot of stray cats in the school, so I feed them some cat food."

"Okay, I also have a calico cat named Flora." He didn't care at all, reached out, and touched the little calico's head, "Such a naughty one."

A big shadow rushed out, accompanied by a cheerful voice, "Oh my goodness, what a cutie."

Looking at Sam approaching the kitten with a face full of excitement, I was speechless.

"Why is the dog everywhere?"

"Sam," Eden picked up the dog leash and pulled it back, "Come back!"

Sam whimpered and stood timidly next to Eden, staring at the kitten.

I was speechless.

"Damn, so fierce."

"Eden." A tall boy in a basketball uniform ran over, "Sam is too strong, and I couldn't hold it."

The boy's eyes lit up when he saw me, "Oh hello, Summer!"

"Do you know me?"

"Of course, you're a top student anyway." The boy looked at Eden and suddenly lowered his voice, "Everyone in our team knows..."

The air was a bit awkward, but Sam happily stuck out his tongue.

"What a cutie!"

"It looks so small and cute!"

"What a playboy."

"Huh, Summer, you're funny..." The boy was smart and dragged Sam away.

The kitten returned to being quiet, continuing to lower her head and eat cat food.

"I have a suggestion for you. Don't use this kind of fixed cat food bowl." Eden put his hands in his pockets and spoke again.

I was petting the kitten when Eden said that. And I was a little unhappy.

"Is he out of his mind or something?

If I don't accept your advice, will you pour out the food I gave to the kitten? Threw away the water bowl?"

I suppressed my anger and didn't look up, 'So what's your suggestion?'

Feeling my tone was a bit aggressive, he paused, "I mean this will give malicious people an opportunity. After all, stray cats can't distinguish between good and bad people."

"Oh yeah, aren't you the malicious one?"

I stood up and glared at him, "Don't bother to give your opinion If you haven't done anything. Thank you."

"Hey..."

Ignoring him, I turned around and left.

"Damn, it feels a bit unlucky."

"Basketball game! Summer, come with me to the basketball game!" Cece clung to my arm and acted spoiled for a long time.

I glanced at her, "The game that Eden is participating in?"

"Yes!"

“I'm not going.” I tapped on my computer without looking up, “I'm working on a group assignment.”

Cece leaned over, "I worked so hard to get the tickets. Come along, please."

“I don't have time.”

“You can bring your computer and work there too.”

"No."

“But, this counts as participating in campus activities, and you'll get credits…”

I immediately closed my computer, “Now?”

"Damn, it is never easy for a college student to earn some credits!"

Carrying my laptop and braving the scorching sun, I followed Cece to the basketball court.

I sat down according to the designated spot and caught a glimpse of Eden in the center of the court, wearing jersey number 8.

His healthy muscle lines on his arms looked cool, and the veins gently bulged as he warmed up with the ball.

I had to admit he looked...

He also saw me and waved towards this direction.

"Summer, he's greeting us!" Cece exclaimed with excitement, "Damn, he's so handsome!"

"Well."

I remained expressionless, lowered my head and opened my laptop, got on the internet, and continued to search for information.

For no other reason, the professor said that if we did the homework well, we could earn extra credits.

The basketball game had started, and the audience was extremely excited.

Next to me, Cece, was constantly taking pictures without any sense of shame. I was speechless and said, "Can you stop acting like you've never seen a handsome guy before..."

Cece didn't have time to turn around. "Did you not hear the broadcast just now? If you capture the moment of any player scoring a goal, you can submit it to the school magazine and earn credits."

I was speechless,

and quietly took out the phone.

"Damn it, it's so unfair to earn such a small amount of credits!"

This was a basketball game among all the universities in Arizona. This game was a basketball match between Arizona State University and University of Phoenix.

Because the two schools had always been in competition, the atmosphere on the court was quite intense.

"Come on! Come on! Come on!"

"Hooray! We won! 16 to13!"

"Oh my God, Eden's three-pointer is so cool!"

The screams around me were continuous. I rubbed my ears. Finally, it was over.

I looked at the satisfied goal photos taken with my phone, but most of them were Eden's face.

I was speechless.

"Well, I'll send them to the school magazine's email and then delete them immediately."

Holding my laptop, I walked through the crowd with Cece, planning to leave early.

I walked to the front row and walked towards the outside of the venue.

"Eden!" The captain of University of Phoenix was a sore loser. He threw a ball over, "You're lucky this time!"

"Well, next time I'll be lucky too."

Eden wiped his sweat with a towel and then casually turned sideways. The basketball flew past his shoulder.

"Tsk, quite arrogant."

Wait, that basketball...

"Bang!"

"Summer!" Cece exclaimed.

It hit my arms and my laptop so hard, and my laptop fell to the ground.

Ignoring the pain in my arms, I immediately picked up my laptop.

"Are you okay?" A shadow fell, and Eden hurried over, bending down to ask.

I squatted on the ground and turned on the computer.

It was blue screen,

and remained blue screen.

"Summer, I'm sorry for dragging you here..." Cece was at a loss.

The captain from University of Phoenix ran over and apologized frantically.

Eden patted my shoulder. "Your arm..."

"My Data!"

Suddenly, anger surged from my heart, and courage grew.

My eyes flew out like knives. I slapped his hand away and pulled his jersey.

"The data is all inside!

Today, either my laptop is dead or you're dead!"

The whole venue was quiet.

Eden was stunned, "Then... shall I help you fix it?"
