Chapter 3

Ever since she was “diagnosed” with depression, sleeping problems had always stayed with her.

During the last three years, her sleeping problems became worse and worse. Dahlia couldn’t sleep through the whole night.

Until Caspian heard about a perfume expert who could specially make incense based on her body condition.

But that perfume expert was hard to find, and even getting one incense was very difficult.

In the end, Caspian pushed his work aside, knelt while climbing a hundred stone stairs, then stayed kneeling outside the master’s door for three days and three nights before getting the incense.

Every night before bed, Caspian personally lit the incense for her. Until now, she needed to smell the incense every day before she could sleep.

Dahlia strongly bit her lip until it bled.

A burning pain came from her lips, and the taste of blood spread through her mouth, pulling her senses back.

She reached out and put out the incense, then unsteadily walked to open the bedroom window.

Cool air entered. She leaned against the window and breathed for a long time before recovering, her thoughts becoming clear again.

She took a picture of the incense and sent it to her assistant, asking the person to help check what ingredients were inside.

Dahlia quietly opened the bedroom door and walked outside.

Inside the guest room, two people were tightly holding each other.

It was Caspian and Camilla.

Camilla lightly panted and said, “Uncle, p-please be lighter… if Sister Dahlia hears us, it’ll become troublesome.”

Caspian didn’t stop moving. Instead, he became rougher, his voice low and hoarse with lust, “Don’t worry. She definitely can’t hear anything. I already lit the incense for her, so she’s sleeping deeply now.”

Those words clearly entered Dahlia’s ears.

In that second, her breathing froze. Her suspicion had become real.

Camilla’s voice broke softly, “B-but why… here? Uncle, wouldn’t it be better to go to my room? This place feels kind of cold and empty, and I don’t even like this decoration style…”

“Because…” Caspian’s voice stayed low, “My first time with her happened in this room. I want you to fully replace those memories. Camilla, my whole life belongs only to you.”

Dahlia stood outside the door, her chest hurting so badly she almost couldn’t remain standing.

She remembered their first night.

Back then, they had only just gotten engaged, and the villa was still under renovation. But this guest room had already been finished.

Caspian happily pulled her around to see their future home.

Under the sky full of stars, he gently held her face and kissed her.

That kiss lasted a long time and felt very loving, making her wrongly believe he truly loved her.

Later, inside this room, he softly persuaded her until she fully gave herself to him.

That night, he held himself back and stayed patient, then kept promising again and again that he’d treat her well forever.

At that moment, her phone vibrated, and a message from the assistant appeared.

[Miss, the institute will need five days before the official test report comes out.]

Five days, exactly the same amount of time left before she received the divorce certificate.

She pulled back all her thoughts, opened the security video on her phone, and saved everything that just happened inside the guest room.

Caspian, since you chose to become a cruel man, you must accept the matching consequences!

The next morning, when Dahlia opened the bedroom door, she smelled the scent of food.

Caspian wore an apron and stayed busy inside the kitchen.

After Caspian noticed Dahlia had woken up, a smile showed in his eyes. “Awake now? Breakfast’s nearly finished. Go sit over there first.”

Camilla had already been sitting there. Seeing Dahlia come closer, she even stood up to greet her.

Clearly, this belonged to Dahlia’s home, but Camilla didn’t try to avoid suspicion at all.

She had on a loose nightdress. Just from moving slightly, large red marks on her chest became visible.

Camilla intentionally faced her back toward Caspian and bent near Dahlia, afraid Dahlia might not notice those signs. “Dahlia, did you sleep well last night? Did you hear any weird noises? Uncle, he…”
