Strategy Plan: Calling for the President's Love
Chapter 2
Raymond was taken home.
I felt I was going to be unemployed soon.
I stood at the door of the club in the cold wind and muttered, "My money will be gone."
Marcia put her coat on me. She didn't understand what was going on and asked, "Why did something go wrong just because you asked to add him on WhatsApp for me?"
I watched the Bentley disappear from my sight, pointed ahead, and snapped, "The boy I was tutoring sneaked to this club and put his arm around my shoulders, which his elder brother happened to see."
I supposed Yve had probably even thought about the melodramatic plot of a soap opera to figure out why a tutor would get involved with her student.
"You lost your love, and I lost my money," said I to Marcia.
After tossing and turning all night, I finally received a message from Yve at seven in the morning.
"Are you free? Let's meet at the coffee shop down my company at 1 pm."
How nice Yve was. He would even inform me of my dismissal in a private room of a coffee shop.
I took my resignation letter, put on the most expensive clothes I had in my closet, and walked with my head held high into the coffee shop where I was about to declare my resignation.
Yve had arrived earlier than the agreed time. The instant he saw me enter, he handed me the menu and asked me what I would like to drink.
I raised my hand to reject his gentle offer and cut to the chase. "Mr. Kelsey, please speak your mind."
There was one minute of silence. During this minute, Yve took a sip of coffee, coughed three times, and compressed his lips into a thin line ten times.
I didn't get why it was so hard for him to tell me about the dismissal.
I took out the resignation letter from my bag. There were only two sentences written on it: [Mr. Kelsey, thank you for your recognition of my competence over the past month. I may never be able to find a job that pays 100,000 dollars a month in the future.]
I unfolded the letter and placed it in front of Yve. He looked astonished and puzzled as he asked, "Are you intending to resign?"
Although I didn't have a decent job after graduating from college, I could earn enough money to support myself by working as a freelance illustrator.
I honestly didn't want to lose this job with facile earnings, but before I could say anything, Yve's following words shocked me even more.
"If you think the pay is not enough, how about..."
He tore up the resignation letter, threw it aside, and took another sip of coffee.
"We date."
"How about what?"
My voice and Yve's voice sounded at the same time.
In a trance, I felt that Yve looked awkward.
I was not sure. Perhaps I needed to take a closer look.
I swear I never expected Yve to mention a relationship between us.
Especially it happened after I was caught red-handed at the club yesterday.
Yve cleared his throat and explained, "Well, there is a banquet that requires me to attend with a female companion. I don't have any women around me who are available, so I would like to trouble you to accompany me there and have a date with me."
I uttered an embarrassed laugh and quickly responded, "Sure, not a problem at all, Mr. Kelsey."
I could get things done for money, but I should get an additional price for dating him!
Less than an hour later, when I arrived at the place I tutored Raymond, he already looked aggrieved and gloomy.
"Are you really in a relationship with Yve?"
Raymond shook my shoulders in disbelief.
"My one million dollars! I still want to buy a sports car!" he exclaimed in dejection.
I had promised Yve that if he released the news about our relationship, I would not deny it, whoever asked me.
But it was out of my expectations that Yve had even deceived his brother.
I felt sorry for Raymond, so I pulled him back to the desk and said, "I don't need your money anymore, but you'll have to finish your homework this semester by yourself."
He seemed a little doubtful about my kind words and took out his phone to record what I said. "I have evidence now, so don't regret it later."
I held his head down, telling him to focus on his homework quickly.
During the break, Raymond turned on a streaming app on TV.
Standing in front of the TV, he made an introductory gesture as the streaming app Disney+ opened.
"Nice to meet you, Yve's Disney princess."
Yve's Disney princess?
Before I could throw the cushion at Raymond, the door suddenly opened.
The protagonist we just mentioned appeared in our sight.
"What Disney princess?"
Raymond answered before I could react, "Natalie said she loves you."
Awkwardness permeated the air around us.
I noticed an apparent twitch in Raymond's eye. His Adam's apple bobbed, but he was speechless for a long time.
"Well... I won't disturb you two."
With that, Raymond ran upstairs, leaving Yve and I looking at each other in bewilderment.
Our date at the banquet went smoothly. I would toast on behalf of Yve whenever someone came to toast him.
By the end, I felt the whole world spinning.
It was not until Yve's warm hand landed on my waist that I came back to my senses. I straightened up myself and uttered, "Mr. Kelsey."
He was a little unhappy. He took the wine glass from my hand and helped me to the lounge.
In the blinding light, I covered my eyes with my hands in an attempt to ignore the sobering sight.
In a daze, I saw Yve staring at me with a frown. He said, "You are not here to drink for me."
However, all of a sudden, I felt my stomach churning, which was so uncomfortable that I couldn't refrain from vomiting.
I had no idea where I vomited, but I just remembered spitting forward randomly.
I had no memory of what happened after that.
I woke up the next day and found myself lying on white sheets in a strange room.
I immediately lifted the quilt and looked at myself.
Fortunately, I didn't sleep with my boss.
Otherwise, Yve would have been robbed of his money and chastity, suffering heavy losses.
I was just about to open the door and go out when I heard a knock on it.
Yve was wearing a white shirt, vaguely revealing his sculpted body.
I swallowed my saliva and thought of last night. "Mr. Kelsey, thank you for taking me in for one night."
He looked a little upset, reluctant to speak for a long while.
He handed me a glass of honey water and looked down at me, asking, "Have you forgotten what happened last night?"
I saw some disgusting stains on his suit coat on the sofa.
My eyes widened as I recalled everything.
I vomited neither on the ground nor my hands but on Yve's coat.
"Yve, how much did this coat cost?"
I had never seen any logos of luxury brands on Yve's clothes, but I was still aware of how expensive his clothes were.
Yve shook his head and replied, "It's not expensive. This custom suit only cost about a million dollars."
I let out an embarrassed laugh and made a quick mental calculation of the money in my bank account. Even if I used up all my money, it would still not be enough to pay for his coat.
