Chapter 3

When I returned to my residence in the evening, Yosef's mother Camila called me. Before I could say anything, she started scolding me.

I took my phone away, gave a few greetings, pretended that there was no signal, and then hung up.

I could answer the phone if she talked nicely, but it was impolite for her to scold me.

Besides, the house they lived in was still mine.

Without hesitation, I immediately called the security guard of the villa and asked them to clear them out.

Within ten minutes, I received a call from Yosef.

He questioned me on the phone why I treated his parents like that, saying that they were too old to withstand it and that I was being unfilial. I was so angry that I almost laughed.

The house was mine, so of course I had the final say on everything. Yosef must had forgotten that the house was registered to me a year ago. The reason why his parents still lived in was because we were a family back then.

But we are not a family anymore.

Of course, I was not a cruel person. In order to reduce the burden on them, I specially called a moving company to help. Although there were only two of them, they had a lot of things. There were piles of health products, and I was stunned when I saw the video recorded by the security guard.

After that, I thought of Rachel again. But she lived in a house that Yosef bought for her, so I couldn't ask security guard to throw her out.

But I could take the house back.

I also had a share in the house bought with the marital property.

I called the lawyer and he immediately understood. After a brief discussion, he put his hand to do it.

A few days later, Rachel came to the court as the defendant. Her face turned red as soon as she saw me. She asked me why I treated her like that.

She said that I was cruel, that I didn't know how to think for Yosef and blah blah.

I was too lazy to argue with her. I stood behind the lawyer and slowly put on my makeup to ensure that I looked good.

What I didn't expect was that Yosef didn't come, but Camila came.

As soon as Camila saw me, she started yelling at me, saying that I was shameless and that suing her son brought shame on him.

I didn't really care and just listened quietly for a while. However, Camila was so angry that she almost fainted and her lips were almost purple.

"Mom!" I yelled, "You don't look good, are you having a heart attack?"

Then Camila fell down with a bang.

I stepped back and was afraid that she would fall on me.

Great. She fainted before the lawsuit even started.

I was kind-hearted and wanted to stop the lawsuit, but Rachel didn't forget to blame me and said that I made Camila faint from anger.

I thought, "All right then, let's continue."

I called Yosef's father and informed the judge to continue the lawsuit, and the judge of course supported it.

After all, whether Camila was there or not didn't affect the case.

My lawyer collected all the evidence needed for the lawsuit. He showed the judge records of Yosef's purchase of the house and proved that it was our marital common property.

Rachel tried to hold it, digging her nails into her flesh, and in the end she said nothing.

It was difficult for her. She didn't understand the law at all and had no legal basis at all. It would be strange that if she won.

I received a call from Yosef as soon as I got out of court. He was so angry and kept saying that I was too dominant and didn't know how to adapt.

Anyway, he also used his mother's logic. Like mother like son.

I didn't care to respond, so I hung up the phone.

I was busy watching Rachel move, so I didn't have the time to listen to his bullshit about mother-in-law and daughter-in-law.

As soon as I opened the car door, Rachel rushed to me, her hair disheveled and tears in her eyes. "Avery, you've gone too far!"

What?

Really?

"Yosef will definitely divorce you."

I frowned, this again.

Why didn't she have anything new?

I slammed the car door shut and said to her through the car window, "I sure hope so. After all, a hypocrite like Yosef is kinda worthy of you."

After saying that, I left, leaving Rachel, who was choked by gasoline and had tears on her face.
