She Ripped My Dress, I Burned Her World

After seeing the ruined clothes, neither of them spoke up for Vanessa anymore.

I looked at them coldly.

“She wasn’t helping me. She was setting me up to be humiliated.”

At that moment, Vanessa entered, looking pitiful.

When she saw her handiwork spread out on my desk, she froze.

I deliberately touched the torn fabric.

“Vanessa, what do you have to say for yourself?”

She broke down in tears.

“I don’t know—I really don’t know. I didn’t do this!”

“If it wasn’t you, did the clothes rip themselves? Or maybe one of the other roommates did it?”

Vanessa stammered, unable to reply.

“Emily, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean it. Please forgive me.”

“I was just jealous. We’re the same age, but you’re better than me at everything—talent, looks, background. Everyone likes you. I felt insecure and did something terrible.”

She suddenly fell to her knees.

“Please, don’t tell the director. If I get punished, I’ll be kicked out. My grandmother depends on me—she won’t survive the shock.”

I stared at the pearl necklace on her neck, the limited-edition earrings, and the luxury skincare she used every day. It was laughable.

In my previous life, I died never knowing who she really was. She was no poor small-town girl. She was the heiress of the Miller Corporation, one of the top business families in New York City.

Her parents had sent her here to “experience life” before taking over the family empire. Behind the scenes, she lived in luxury, chauffeured in private cars.

But her crocodile tears easily won my roommates’ sympathy.

“Emily, maybe you should just let this go. Vanessa’s already apologized.” Grace tried to persuade me again.

“Yeah, give her another chance. Otherwise, she might really get expelled.” Chloe chimed in.

I sneered.

“Do you know what would have happened if I had gone on stage in these outfits? Exposure like that leads to permanent disqualification. Crying won’t fix that.”

“I didn’t!” Vanessa tried to argue again.

“Too late.”

I held up my phone in front of her.

“I recorded everything you just admitted. It’s not up to you anymore. If I give this to the director, do you think she’ll still let you stay?”

Vanessa froze, her face pale as paper.

“You… you actually schemed against me?”

“I learned it from you.”

I leaned close and whispered in her ear.

“Cross me again, and I’ll destroy you.”

Terrified, Vanessa collapsed onto the floor, staring at me with wide, panicked eyes.

My other two roommates didn’t dare say a word.

This was only the beginning. Her real suffering was still ahead.
