She Returns With Radiance

"The Jenner Family is really finished. They let their daughter become a mistress and a socialite."

I had experienced such ridicule and discussion twice in my previous life. One was my wedding.

Jeremy openly ran away from marriage for Lindsay, which angered my grandmother to death.

It made me and the Jenner Family a laughing stock in Riverside City.

One was my funeral. Before my body was buried, Shawn couldn't wait to propose to Lindsay at my funeral. It made my life a joke.

Thinking of my past life, I looked at my grandmother in a hurry. She was breathing rapidly, and her eyes were red as she looked at the photo in front of her.

"My Sarah, she wouldn't do such a thing!"

Seeing that she was not in a good state, my heart skipped a beat, and I begged people around me to help me send my grandmother to the hospital. But they all retreated, fearing that they would be contaminated by a dirty woman like me.

Finally, the two childhood friends stood out from the crowd. Jeremy took the initiative to drive, and Shawn and I supported my grandmother and hurried to the hospital.

"Fortunately, we came in time. If it was later, I'm afraid she wouldn't be able to save her life."

I hurriedly thanked the doctor. Then I stayed in front of my grandmother's bed to investigate the CCTV camera. Sure enough, I saw Lindsay in the surveillance. She deliberately replaced the photos. Those photos, without exception, were all fake and synthesized.

I took the surveillance to call the police. But the two childhood friends stopped me. "It's just a joke, do you have to make such a big deal? Do you know that you will ruin Lindsay by doing this?"

I was stunned, and then I roared in anger. "What about me? My grandmother almost died. Isn't she afraid of ruining me and the entire Jenner Family!"

Shawn hurriedly protected Lindsay behind him and pushed me hard.

"Are you done yet, Sarah?! Isn't your grandmother still fine and alive? Besides, flies don't bite seamless eggs. You must have done something shameful first, so such rumors spread!"

Now these words could no longer hurt my heart.

I numbly pushed the two away.

Jeremy grabbed my wrist with a mysterious expression. "Sarah, don't make yourself look bad. You know the strength of our two families. No lawyer will dare to take over this case."

Seeing that I was still unwilling to give up, Jeremy's hand began to force.

"Don't forget, your grandmother is still in the hospital. I can make the doctor stop the treatment with just one word. I'll count to three. If you don't give me the surveillance video, I'll have someone unplug the ventilator."

He counted a number in front of me.

"Three."

"Two."

"I was wrong!" I fell to my knees, tears streaming down my face.

I dare not. I dare not risk my grandmother's life...

Shawn snatched my phone and smashed it to pieces.

The falling fragments scratched my skin.

He looked at me coldly, "With us here, you will never hurt Lindsay anymore."

I collapsed on the ground until the two figures disappeared, and then the pain in my heart spread. The grievances accumulated in two lifetimes finally burst out, and I cried my heart out. The promises made in youth were fake. The childhood love was fake. Only the hurt was real.

I didn’t know how long it took before I returned to the hospital like a zombie. I was afraid that Jeremy and Shawn would do something, so I stayed with my grandmother for several days.

During this period, only Lindsay kept sending me messages. Saying that the two childhood friends took her to travel, bungee jumping, and did all the things we agreed to but failed to achieve.

I blocked her number.

I looked up and saw two handsome men standing in front of my grandmother's bed. They greeted me with smiles.

"Sarah, we are medical soldiers sent by the organization. Please rest assured that we will ensure your grandmother's safety and health while you are away."

I was shocked to realize that it was time to leave. I returned to the Jenner Family and threw away all the items related to the two childhood friends. Then I got on the plane without looking back.

Jeremy and Shawn were not my support. I had to rely on myself to earn a bright future for my grandmother and the Jenner Family!
