Chapter 3

"Reginald, what do you mean?"

I found her amusing and replied dismissively, "Literally, since we've broken up, why would I still give you freebies like cars and houses? Don't make yourself look good."

"You..."

Lorna was momentarily stunned by my words, her face turning red with anger.

Then she gritted her teeth and angrily scolded me, "Are you serious?

"What's so great about you? You're just a useless rich kid.

"Allen is way better than you. He is a real elite, not a parasite like you."

I sarcastically congratulated her, "Well then, go find him and rekindle your old flame.

"Just don't come looking for me."

On the other end of the phone, Lorna arrogantly chuckled.

I furrowed my brow and said, "Alright, let's part ways amicably. In the future, don't..."

"Reginald, you're jealous," she interrupted.

This woman was absurd, thinking she could have everything.

Before she could say more, I hung up on her.

Seeing her persistent calls, I couldn't help but laugh.

It was funny how the tables had turned. It used to be me, humble, calling her to come back.

Now it was her constantly calling me, and I kept ignoring her calls.

It felt satisfying.

Since being with her, I had been constantly criticized.

She always complained about my fashion sense, mocking me with her superior attitude.

"Don't you wear anything other than designer labels? What's so great about them?"

I grew up with a silver spoon, so of course I liked to wear designer clothes.

Lorna's family was average; their house was just around fifty square meters.

I met her in my senior year at college when I transferred to her university.

At first, she was reserved and didn't talk much.

I gradually fell for her, but she was dating Allen at the time.

Later, I let go of those feelings.

But not long after, she broke up with Allen.

He left her and went abroad for further studies.

That was when she came looking for me, and I felt like I'd won the jackpot.

But she didn't like me much. She always criticized me.

She wouldn't let me hang out with my friends or dress too nicely, fearing other women would eye me.

Nor could I talk to any other women, even at work or parties.

She, on the other hand, could cozy up to other men, passionately kissing them.

Only I had to remain faithful to her.

What a joke!

After breaking up with her, I lived freely and comfortably.

I reunited with friends, dressed stylishly, and took over my dad's business seriously.

I worked out in my spare time, went mountain climbing, or raced cars.

Allen would send me photos of him with Lorna.

He touched her chest and pinched her thighs. Lorna straddled his lap and kissed him.

He wanted to provoke me.

He even sent a photo of him flipping the bird at me, full of provocation.

I chuckled and took Lorna's number off the blacklist.

I called her.

"I don't want your junk anymore. From now on, you two can be all over each other. It's none of my business. Goodbye!"
