Chapter 4

I came to the hospital heartbroken to find my daughter. I thought I had to take her for cremation. I still had a ring left by my mother that I could sell.

The nurse looked at me with a pained expression, seeing the bruises all over my body, and said, "Do you want to go and get yourself bandaged up first?"

I shook my head and only asked, "Where is Daisy's body in the morgue?"

She looked at me in shock and said, "After her heart was donated to someone else, her family cremated her and scattered her ashes in the sea, leaving only this finger bone."

I cried silently and then suddenly kicked the morgue several times, shouting at the top of my voice, "Who agreed to this? I am her mother and I did not agree!"

The nurse handed me a sheet of paper, and I snatched the donation form from her hand. On it, it was written that the recipient was Bob.

The family member Sebastian Reed agreed.

I was wondering why Bob had been waiting for heart source for so long, but now he could have the surgery so quickly.

Was it my daughter's heart that you were using?

But why didn't she even leave her whole body for me?

Holding that bone, I burst into tears and cried out, "Daisy, I'm useless, I'm sorry."

I regretted falling in love with him and marrying him.

We were childhood sweethearts. My grandfather saved his grandfather, and our families were well-matched.

We had a good relationship since we were young.

When I was in high school, my parents died in a car accident. I felt like the sky was falling and couldn't go on living.

I didn't eat or drink for three days in the room. It was him who kicked open the door and picked me up, promising to love me forever.

He would be my support, but after going to college, he met Ivy and said that she was his true love.

I felt bitter in my heart, but I still hoped that he would come back someday.

After graduating from college, Ivy went abroad with her loved one, and he attempted suicide by cutting his wrist.

In the middle of the night, I carried him around looking for a hospital alone, and finally saved him.

He woke up and said he wanted to get married.

We were very happy for two years after getting married, until Ivy brought her son back and everything changed.

It was my stubborn insistence on this marriage that caused Daisy's tragic death.

All of this was just to make her son happy.

Even the deepest love faded away with the death of our daughter.

After crying for about ten minutes, I stood up. No matter what, I had to get an explanation.

Why did they not only cause the death of our daughter, but also donate her heart, and even let my daughter die without a complete body?

Just as I walked out, I ran into Sebastian.

He was stunned for a moment when he saw me, and said, "I was accompanying Bob for a surgery and then came back to accompany you and our daughter."

It had been a long time since I last saw this tenderness.
