Revenge On My Ex-husband Now With His Rival Chapter 1

Cassie POV

They say life changes when you get married to the one you once loved. But my case felt different. Everything about my marriage was from one issue to another. From bondage of threats to another.

Waking up each morning just makes me hate myself for accepting this one man. I thought he loved me with everything within.

I rolled out from the bed-my eyeball felt like it was breaking apart from its socket. I walked into the kitchen, my mind racing with the words he told me last night.

The way he looked into my eyes, the way he held my hands, at first thoughts, I wished he wanted to tell me something much better, something that would make my heart skip with excitement, but I got the opposite. It was a divorce. A marriage of 10 years going down the line because of a reason that doesn't even make sense.

"Good morning, mom." My daughter's voice dragged me out of my thoughts. I drifted my gaze to her. A sly smile immediately spread through my face at her presence.

"How was your night, sweetheart?" Looking at her gave me a reformed hope at life.

She's the only one I have now. She's my only hope for peace and happiness.

I looked at her closely, my emotions started playing immediately, tears trickled at the corners of my eyes. I do not know how I would tell her that her so-called beloved father would soon leave her behind and have a better life outside from the one we are having right now. I looked at her. Then she murmured words to me. Her voice barely above a whisper, "Mom, what's happening? I heard you crying last night." I looked at her, eye to eye. I immediately shut my eyes, not wanting to show her my pure emotion.

"Cassie!" I heard my name, not from a far distance, the voice sent chills as the familiarity crawled against my skin.

He stomped into the kitchen, his eyes blazing with rage and anger. He looked at me then back at the child.

" Amanda, get out of here!" he said immediately.

I gave my daughter a sign too. She left immediately. I looked back at him and asked.

" Why was your voice so high towards her?" He didn't say a word to me immediately. He just made sure she wasn't clear in sight before he said his words to me.

" Cassie, why haven't you left my house yet? My mistress will be here in a few minutes. I won't want her to see you, nor that imbecile you call a child."

"Alexandra!" my voice stormed with hot emotions. I looked deep into his eyes as if I could see his soul through it.

My daughter, Amanda, was a girl of special need. Staying with her every day just makes things feel worse in this marriage. The thought of killing her came and passed by each day. But I couldn't watch Alexandra insult my daughter in that manner. She was my first issue, the first child who walked into my stomach. And now, I'm living a marriage and life of beautiful years all because of her. But killing her wasn't an option for me.

"Alexandra, I won't watch you call her those names. You made me pregnant for her. You planted the seed within me and now you are here, demanding the child you gave to me.."

He laughed as my words spilled away, but I didn't care. My emotions started boiling already. Tears started dripping down from my eyes. My heart started racing faster, it felt like a heart attack, it felt so strong.

"I don't care, Cassie." His words felt like a dagger pierced into my chest.

Before I could say any word, he defended what he said to me. He said another one, "I'm giving you just thirty minutes to pack your things and that other imbecile you keep in my house and leave."

"Alexandra!" I called.

"Cassie, I am not taking your emotions personally. You've always been the crying girl I've always known right from high school. So move on with life. Twelve years already, aren't you tired?" His voice sent chills down to my spine. I thought this was Love. I thought this would finally give me a smile to my groaning childhood emotions but, No, it didn't. It just makes things worse.

"What about the time we spent together? What about the life we had? What about the company we built from scratch?" He laughed again, this time it sounded more like a mocking one.

His voice was filled with strong emotions this time around. "I would say to you with a little of a hundred thousand US dollars, so you could leave my life alone."

It didn't wait for my next word before it stormed out from the kitchen. I collapsed onto the ground, tears filling both my heart and eyes. Everything just dawned on me now, those twelve years were lies. Everything I thought I had built with him was just lies and fake.

"I hate him and curse the day I ever met him." I screamed at the top of my voice

Minutes later, I stood up and walked into my room. I picked up the necessary things I needed, my clothes, my jewelry, my cards, my wallets, and every single thing attening to me. I didn't forget some documents that are willed to my name, some documents I signed with him, some documents that add way more right off than him.

I walked into Amanda's room, this time I wasn't the crying girl that I was a few minutes ago. I stood bold and elegant in my neatly dressed satin gown with my well packed ponytail hair. She looked at me, her eyes filled with tears also.

"Mom, what is going on?" She asked with a shaky voice.

I walked closer to her, but I didn't let my emotions play me this time around. I used my hand to wipe away the tears hanging under her eyes and I said, "Honey, nothing is going on. We are just about to have a little adventure."

From my physical expression, she didn't quite get the words but it was too late for me to even give full details of everything that was going on. I made her sit down while I went to our room and packed most of her important stuff, her medications and many more.

Twenty minutes later, I was downstairs, standing, looking directly to the staircase where he stood as if nothing was going on. I gave a little sound, clearing my throat to grab his attention.

"Mark my words, Alexandra, you shall regret this day."

After that, I walked out, away from his life, away from everything, without him knowing what I hid deep within me. And to the promise to him, I wasn't returning here until he had regretted every single pain he had caused me.
