After Divorce, I Took Revenge on my Ex-husband and His Mistress
Chapter 1
On my thirtieth birthday, my husband slapped me hard. "Did you ever study biology in high school?"
he yelled. "You have type O blood, I have type B. So how on earth does our son have type A blood?"
I was completely stunned. Could our child have been switched at birth?
But in court, I calmly showed the paternity test results proving he was indeed the father.
My husband was left speechless.
Watching him walk out of the building, I felt a strange sense of satisfaction.

We’d known each other for ten years, been married for eight and our son was seven. This was the first time he had hit me, all because he suspected I’d cheated. I covered my stinging face and stared at him. "I told you, he’s your son."
He sneered, "Or is he the son of your first love or some guy who's been after you?" Once suspicion took hold, it was like a guilty verdict. He slammed the door on his way out, leaving me alone.
I looked at the table full of untouched food and collapsed into a chair, feeling drained. I grabbed my glass of red wine, downed it in one go and let the tears roll down my cheeks.
But how could this be? Could our son have been switched at birth? Maybe the hospital made a mistake. I decided to get my son's blood type tested again, just to be sure. When the results came back and I saw "Type A" clearly written, I got goosebumps. It didn’t make any sense; my husband Liam and I had our blood types tested every year during the company's physical exams, so they couldn't be wrong. So, where did the error happen?
Then it hit me: DNA paternity testing. Holding on to a sliver of hope, I rushed home, grabbed my son’s and Liam’s toothbrushes and took them to the hospital. I thought about calling my husband but decided against it until I had the results—no point in more useless arguments. The waiting felt endless, every minute dragging on. Finally, the results came out and a faint smile appeared on my face as I read the report: 100% Parent-child relationship.
I couldn’t wait any longer—I had to tell Liam. I rushed to his company, feeling anxious and scared he wouldn’t believe me. This was our company, but I had moved to a behind-the-scenes role and wasn’t involved in management anymore. I didn’t want any misunderstandings to ruin our marriage.
I waited and waited, but Liam never showed up. When I called him, I realized he had blocked me. My heart sank—was this his way of cutting me off completely? Determined, I walked up to the front desk and asked, "Hi, is Liam in today?"
The new receptionist gave me a polite smile and asked, "Hi and you are...?"
"Mrs. Lancaster," I said with a faint smile.
Her smile became more genuine. "Ma’am, Mr. Lancaster hasn’t come in today."
I was surprised but kept my cool. So, Liam hadn’t come to the office at all.
It had been ten hours since Liam left home and he was nowhere to be found. Today, I had planned a day alone with him, leaving our son at my parent’s place. I never expected this turn of events. I felt relieved in a way; at least our son wasn't witnessing this mess.
I drifted off to sleep in a daze and woke up late the next day. Without hesitating, I grabbed the paternity test report and hurried to Liam’s office. As people streamed out of the building, I spotted Liam right away and my heart raced with anticipation. I quickly got out of the car.
But just as I was about to approach him, I saw a familiar figure sidle up to him—Bella Lawson, his first love. She was as stunning as her name implied and they were sharing an intimate moment. I wanted to confront them right then and there, but I held back. Instead, I took out my phone and discreetly snapped a photo of them together, my hands shaking on the steering wheel. Trying to keep my composure, I decided to follow them.
What I witnessed next left me utterly shocked.
