Remaining Love Withered
Chapter 4
Eric didn’t show up for five days. This made me curious.
Didn’t he value Ella very much? How could he let her stay in a place like a detention center for so many days?
I originally thought that he would send the divorce agreement the next day. Now it seemed that Ella’s position in his heart was just like that.
When my best friend came in and saw me in a daze, she waved the paternity test results in front of me.
“Are you daydreaming again? Why are you always in a daze recently?”
I smiled and asked her what the result was.
She handed me the list. “What else can I do? You don’t know whose child it is?”
I took the report, saw the number 99.999% on it and carefully put it away.
There were footsteps at the door and when I looked up, Eric walked in with his lawyer.
“What were you talking about just now? Why did I hear something about a child?”
My best friend rolled her eyes at him. “What else can I say about a child? Of course, I’m saying that you killed Wanda’s child.”
Eric sneered, “It’s just a bastard. If you’re gone, just give your adulterer another one.”
“You…”
My best friend was so angry that she wanted to slap him.
I looked at her and she held back.
Eric ignored her and looked at the lawyer behind him.
The lawyer took out the divorce contract and put it in front of me.
I read it carefully and threw the contract back.
“Eric, I’ve made it very clear that I deserve nothing less.”
“Deserved? You married me and stayed at home as a housewife. What contribution have you made to this family? You cheated on me and got pregnant with a bastard. I can only give you 40% because of our past love. I’ve already given you enough love.”
I was too lazy to argue with him and said bluntly, “Whatever you say, if the property distribution ratio is not 50%, I won’t write a letter of apology to Ella.”
Eric’s face was livid. “Wanda, don’t go too far.”
After a while, seeing that I was unmoved, he reluctantly took out another contract from the lawyer’s hand.
It turned out that he had already made two plans.
After reading the contract, there was no problem anymore. I picked up the pen and planned to sign my name without hesitation.
At the moment when the pen tip was about to touch the paper, Eric suddenly pressed the contract.
“Wanda, I’ll give you one more chance. If you sign now, it will be difficult to regret it.”
Looking at the obscurity in his eyes, I pushed his hand away and signed my name without hesitation.
Eric stared at the contract and took a deep breath. “Okay, that’s great. Then I sincerely invite you to attend my engagement party with Ella in 40 days.”
I chuckled and handed over the letter of understanding. “Okay, I will definitely go.”
Not only would I go, I would also give you a big gift.
Look forward to it, Eric!
