Rejected by the Alpha, Claimed by the King Chapter 1

After years of being forcibly claimed and tormented, I lost my memory.

Staring at the gaunt, skeletal woman in the mirror, I couldn’t believe my eyes.

"Is this… me?" I whispered, horrified.

The once radiant and elegant beauty of the city, now reduced to a hollow shell.

Furious, I stormed out to confront the one responsible for this.

But when I saw him standing by the arched gate, tall and commanding, his dark eyes piercing through me, my anger faltered.

He was… breathtaking.

"Father."

A little boy clung to his hand, trying to sound brave but failing to hide his nervousness.

"Mother seems in a good mood today. Do you think she’ll hug me?"

"Who knows?" he replied, his tone laced with sarcasm. "She certainly won’t hug your father."

I woke up one day, and suddenly, I was no longer a young girl but the Luna of the Silver Moon Pack. And not just any Luna—I was forcibly claimed by the Alpha King himself.

Helena, my loyal Gamma and childhood friend, tearfully explained everything.

I was once promised to my childhood friend, Noe Bradley, but the Alpha King, Ambrose Sullivan, had taken me against my will. He forced me into a mate bond, and I bore him two children. I was kept prisoner, locked away in his estate, subjected to his dominance.

And just before I lost my memory, I had stabbed him with a hairpin.

"He’s still in bed, unconscious," Helena whispered urgently, her eyes filled with determination. "This is the perfect time to escape! We can run away, find Noe, and start a new life!"

I stared at her, speechless.

Pushing her hand away, I collapsed onto the bed, closing my eyes, wishing this was all just a nightmare.

But when I opened them again, I was still in this opulent room, surrounded by the same suffocating reality.

I let out a heavy sigh, about to ask Helena for more details, when I noticed a small, tearful figure standing at the door.

A little girl, her tiny fists clenched, tears streaming down her face.

"Mother," she choked out, her voice trembling. "Are you leaving? Take me with you, please. I’ll be good. I won’t eat much. I won’t be a burden."

I froze, unsure of how to respond.

But before I could, Helena stepped forward, her voice sharp and commanding.

"Malani! Who let you in here? Where are the guards?"

She grabbed the child by the collar, roughly dragging her toward the door.

The little girl’s face turned red from the pressure, her tiny hands flailing as she struggled against Helena’s grip. Tears poured down her cheeks, and her sobs were heart-wrenching.

"Helena!" I rushed forward, pulling the child into my arms. "What are you doing? She’s just a child!"

"Luna, you said you didn’t want to see her—"

"Enough. Leave us," I snapped, cutting her off.

Helena hesitated, then bowed her head and left.

I knelt down, smoothing the girl’s hair and wiping her tears, trying to soften my voice.

"Who are you, sweetheart? What’s your name? How old are you?"

Her sobs paused, and she stared up at me with wide, confused eyes. Then, with a wail, she turned and ran out of the room, crying,

"Father! Mother doesn’t want me anymore! Father!"

Her cries echoed through the halls, and soon, the room was filled with people.

Guards, pack members, and even a young boy in a tailored suit, his expression calm as he comforted the sobbing girl.

Once he had calmed her down, he turned to me, his clear eyes filled with sadness.

"Mother," he said softly, "I know you miss Mr. Bradley and resent Father, but Malani is just a child. How could you tell her you don’t want her?"

"That’s not what I meant—"

Even in my confusion, I understood enough to realize the gravity of the situation. I stammered, trying to explain.

"I’ve lost my memory. I don’t remember anything. I don’t know who you are. I didn’t mean to upset her. I’m just… so lost."

The boy’s expression darkened, and he turned to the guards.

"Call the Healer," he ordered. "And inform Father in the main house."

The father of these two children was, of course, Ambrose Sullivan, the Alpha King Helena had told me about.

Logically, if he had gone to such lengths to claim me, he must have cared for me deeply.

But as the Healer examined me, Ambrose was nowhere to be seen.

Malani was taken away by one of the pack members to rest, and the boy—Judson—sat stiffly on the couch, his small hands clenched into fists, his shoulders trembling despite his composed appearance.

"Healer," he asked, his voice trembling slightly, "what’s wrong with Mother?"

"Prince Judson, don’t worry. The Luna is simply suffering from memory loss. It’s temporary. She’ll recover in time," the Healer reassured him, prescribing some medicine before bowing and leaving.

Judson let out a sigh of relief.

I tilted my head, studying him.

His young face, round eyes, and soft features contrasted starkly with the formal suit he wore, giving him an almost comical seriousness.

"So," I asked hesitantly, "are you… my son?"
