After He Chose His First Love, I Refused to Get Back Together! Chapter 1

Cash Slade's haunting crush was about to die, and her only wish before she dies was to hold a wedding with Cash.

So, on the eve of my wedding, Cash left me and gave her a grand wedding in front of everyone.

They even expressed their affections in my house.

Later I threw away the ring and decided to break up resolutely.

But he knelt outside of my building in the rain all night.

Almost begging, "Kathy, how can you really abandon me?"

——

"Now you can exchange your rings."

On the stage, my fiancé Cash was exchanging rings with his haunting crush.

They looked at each other affectionately, and Cash's friends in the audience cheered, "Kiss! Kiss!"

The wedding was grand and moving. The guests gave their sincere blessings. The newlyweds cried with joy.

Everything would be so beautiful if it weren't for my sudden arrival as an uninvited guest.

I just stood there, feeling out of place in this wedding that was making everyone happy.

The wedding music was still playing, and it sounded melodious, but the voices of all the guests suddenly stopped.

Cash was still holding Sue Harris' hand, but when he saw me, his smile froze and a hint of panic flashed in his eyes.

He quickly pulled his hand back and walked towards me with big strides.

Sue quickly grabbed the corner of Cash's clothes, tears in her eyes, "Cash, don't go, I'm scared."

Cash immediately felt sorry. He touched her head soothingly and said, "Sue, be good. I'll be there in a moment." Then he walked towards me.

Sue bit her lower lip and looked at me with unwilling and resentful expression.

Cash pulled me away. But after a few steps, I shook off his hand.

I just worried that Cash wouldn't eat well, so I specially sent food to the hospital. I didn't expect that I could see this wonderful scene.

Cash lowered his voice, with a hint of anger, "Kathy, why are you here?"

Therefore, he also knew it was ashamed. I looked around at all the people who attended the wedding. Many of them knew me. Every of them had received favors from me, and they all knew that I was Cash's fiancée. But no one told me that my fiancé would hold a wedding with another woman in the hospital today.

I said in a cold and sharp voice, "After all, everyone is here. How can I be absent?"

No one dared to speak. They all lowered their heads and dared not look me in the eyes.

Cash's voice was filled with shame and annoyance. "Kathy, can you be more sensible? Sue just wants to have a wedding with me in her last days."

Sue had been sick, so if she wanted my fiancé, I had to be considerate and let her have him with a smile.

I looked at the angry man in front of me and suddenly felt very bored. I took off the engagement ring and threw it into the scenic lake next to the hospital.

"Okay, as you wish."

"Cash, our wedding is cancelled."

The scene was in chaos. Cash held my hand forcefully, not letting me go and asking me to explain myself clearly. Sue held Cash's hand and cried, saying that it was all her fault.

Then she passed out.

I watched coldly as Cash anxiously picked up Sue and rushed to the hospital with guests' company. Until now, Cash's friends had not come to apologize to me, not even a word of explanation.

Maybe that was because I wasn't important in Cash's heart, so they didn't have to do that.

I didn't visit Sue. She was obviously pretending to faint, and only Cash couldn't distinguish it. Or maybe he could do that but didn't dare to bet.

I suddenly remembered what Cash had said when I had a fever of forty degrees. I was almost passed out and just wanted him to take me to the hospital.

"Kathy, I'm very busy at work, just try to go to the hospital by yourself. I knew you're a strong girl."

Ironically, he was a doctor and worked in a hospital, but he was unwilling to take me to the hospital.

I used to think that he was a cold person and not good at expressing himself. I never considered that he just didn't love me that much.

Just because I was always his plan B.

After I saw this with my own eyes, Cash and I began to barely speak with each other.

Many things that I didn't want to think about before had been tormenting me repeatedly these days.

On the day Sue returned to America, Cash went to the airport to pick her up and did not return home all night. That day was our second anniversary.

That day, I called him all night long, but no one answered. In the end, his phone was turned off.

Cash later compensated me and coaxed me by saying that Sue was his old friend and that she had returned home seriously ill without telling anyone. His phone ran out of battery and turned off that night.

I stopped asking because I felt sorry for her illness, but I forgot to ask Cash where he had been all night, why he didn't answer my call before his phone ran out of battery.

Was it that very night that they had already started their relationship?

Later, he missed our appointments again and again, and each time he would say that he was so busy to get away. I felt sorry for him being too busy, so I postponed the appointments again and again.

However, it was when I accompanied his mother to the hospital for a follow-up visit that I discovered that the patient he was busy taking care of was Sue.

I held his mother's arm and stood at the door of the ward. I watched him caress Sue's cheek and gently ask Sue if the injection would make her hurt. He also promised he could buy what Sue wanted to eat.

I received a heavy blow. I had never seen him like this before. I was more like a mouse peeping at other people's happiness, hiding in the darkness, not daring to look up. But that man was obviously my fiancé.

I didn't see the suddenly change of his mother's expression. I just kept comforting myself in my heart, "Cash is kind to every patient. Kathy, what's the point of arguing with a patient?"

Now all the fig leaves have been lifted and I am exposed in front of everyone like a clown.

I couldn't lie to myself anymore.
