After I was Reborn, I Pushed My Best Friend and Ex Into the Abyss

When Sarah ended things with her boyfriend for the fifty-fifth time, I lost my patience. Trying to defend her, I took her phone to confront the toxic man myself. Instead of thanking me, Sarah accused me of being too harsh. She reconciled with him almost immediately, secretly tying the knot behind my back. To make matters worse, she banned me from attending their wedding altogether, proving that loyalty is easily discarded.

Chapter 3

When I was having a check-up at the hospital, I received a message from an old classmate.

[Sarah will have her wedding tomorrow. The address is at Maple Leaf Hotel.]

I just received the test report and smiled at the results on it.

I already knew.

Sarah still kept me in the dark, not letting me attend her wedding with Gavin.

I had a backup plan and contacted an old classmate in advance to pass me the news.

I quickly rented two sets of formal dresses and brought them home.

That night, I placed the two sets of formal dresses in front of Eric and told him that we would attend Sarah's wedding tomorrow.

He exclaimed, "How did you know she's getting married tomorrow?"

"What? Judging from your tone, you already knew?"

I asked him back, suddenly leaning in to stare at him.

He tackled me. "No way, she's your best friend, how could I know? Okay, honey, I promise you, let's do something else..."

I resisted the surge in my lower abdomen, dodged his greasy kiss, and struggled to get up.

"It's not convenient. I am on my period."

I made an excuse to ask for his phone to prevent him from secretly messaging Sarah behind my back.

I even sent a message to test Sarah, asking her to come out and play tomorrow.

[Kelly, sorry I can't go out with you. I have a plan to go to a cat café with my friend tomorrow.]

She casually made an excuse to push me away.

Clearly, she was allergic to cat hair. It was really hard for her to lie to me like this. She didn't even lie convincingly.

I could only show my regret, [OK. I can only go watch the show with Eric.]

I really wanted to know why, in both this life and the previous one, Sarah didn't let me attend her wedding.

What is she desperately trying to hide?

When we appeared at the wedding, all the guests looked at us.

Only the smile on Sarah's face visibly collapsed.

I walked towards her hand in hand with Eric, and with each step closer, her face became paler.

This was quite an interesting way to torture her.

Until we walked up to her, she glared at Eric fiercely. The person next to me, with a slightly guilty look, glanced at Sarah and then lowered his head like a quail, unable to see anyone.

I pretended not to see their little actions, and with a reproachful tone, slowly spoke, "Sarah, you are not being loyal enough. How could you not inform me, your best friend, about such a big event like getting married?"

I deliberately emphasized the words "best friend".

"I... I... I forgot it," she stammered in response.

I looked around and found that most of the people were their relatives. There were many empty seats and some people hadn't arrived yet.

"Okay, just kidding. I won't be angry. Look, I'm here, right?" I affectionately took her arm.

She suddenly pulled me without saying a word and walked towards the backstage. "Kelly, please help me check if my makeup is smudged."

I didn't understand, but I didn't foolishly follow her.

She couldn't pull me and became anxious.

Eric also came forward to persuade me, "Go to the backstage and help her check it. Are you still good friends?"

Their unusual attitude made me even more suspicious.

Following their exchanged glances, I saw a group of friends of similar age playing and rushing in at the entrance.

I didn't know any of them.

I knew nothing about Sarah, but she knew everything about me.

Because she always hided it well and was not willing to mention it.

I only knew that her original family was broken and no one cared for her. She had been working odd jobs since she was young, so I had the idea of taking good care of her.

In the past, I was too foolish, so I was manipulated by her everywhere.

Now doubts arise in my mind. What are they afraid of? What is their connection with those people?

Those people came over with laughter and surrounded them, pushing me out.

The tall person standing in front joked, "Long time no see, Sarah! Since you left the village, we have had less contact. I didn't expect you to invite us."

They were Sarah's childhood friends, so they should know Sarah well.

A fat person squeezed out of the crowd and ran to Eric's side, excitedly hugging him and saying, "Hey! Eric, you are here too. Sarah, you even invited your ex-boyfriend. By the way, you two were together for so long, but it's a pity that you don't get married..."
