Rebirth: Sending My Ex-Husband to Jail
Chapter 2
02
Anton ordered for me.
"Miss, here is your Americano," a crisp female voice caught my attention.
My heart skipped a beat and I turned towards the voice.
A pure face appeared.
Isn't this the mistress my husband had an affair with for four and a half years? How could she be here?
"Thank you," I picked up the coffee and took a sip, feeling uneasy. Things seemed to be developing differently from the past. Anna shouldn't be here.
My thoughts were in chaos and I only heard the last sentence from Anton.
"Miss Julia, our marriage is settled like this."
Anton's gaze had always been on me, never leaving my body. There was no time to look at the cafe waitress.
"What did you say?" I reacted belatedly. He said that our marriage was settled like this.
I almost sprayed the coffee on his face. In the previous life, Anton had clarified that he would rather marry a female pig than me.
Afterward, his Grandpa brought a pig in front of Anton. In comparison, he was forced to marry me.
In this life, he was actually so eager to marry me?
I couldn't help but suspect that he had some other conspiracy.
Does he know Anna now?
I had too many doubts.
"I'll pay." I didn't respond to Anton's words. I wanted to see if they knew each other.
This timeline was a bit messy. I couldn't figure it out all at once.
In my previous life, Anton and I got married after a year of getting to know each other. Now, he agreed so readily, which made me puzzled.
I said I would go pay, but I didn't. I secretly went to the restroom and sent a message to Anton saying that I was leaving first.
I hid in a corner and secretly watched.
Anton also got up to leave when he heard I left.
"Sir, your bill hasn't been settled yet," Anna said with the receipt.
Anton glanced around and seemed to be looking for me. He didn't even glance at Anna and left after paying the bill.
It was very strange. How did they charm each other? Wasn't it love at first sight?
Anna was still a pretty girl although she was wearing a waiter's uniform. It looked like that set of uniform temptations. How could he not take a look at her?
I walked out of the cafe hesitantly and received a message.
"Run away without paying?"
It was sent to me by Anton.
I turned off my phone and didn't reply to him.
In my previous life, he never took the initiative to message me even after five years of marriage.
Home.
"How's it going, Julia?" My mom couldn't wait to come up and gossip, holding my hand.
"Not so good." I shook my head.
"You're lying to me again." My mom looked like she knew everything. My family all knew that I was crazy about marrying Anton.
"Look." My mom led me to the living room. I looked at the expensive gifts on the table, feeling confused.
"These are all sent by Anton. It seems like he's very satisfied with you." My mom was happy, as if I was a huge trouble that was finally going to be dumped.
I felt more and more suspicious.
The next day, I slept in.
Waking up.
"Ah!" Anton's enlarged handsome face appeared in front of me.
I rolled off the bed in fright.
The night he poisoned me suddenly came to mind, and he was so gentle and kind.
"Julia, what's wrong?" Anton asked softly with a smile, but I ran out as if I had seen a ghost.
He called me Julia? Was he crazy!
I ran to the living room, but there was no one at home.
"Dad? Mom?" I tentatively called twice.
"Uncle and aunt went out for a walk today." Anton followed me to the living room leisurely and sat down.
I looked at him strangely. Did my parents just leave me with a stranger? I touched my head and avoided Anton's gaze, wanting to go back to my room.
"Julia," Anton called me again, holding the certificate of identification in his hand and smiling at me.
That's my certificate of identification!
