Chapter 2

  She fainted.

  Thank you, Wayne.

In my previous life, I had been beaten up after getting married to you.

After arranging the postures for them, I took out my mobile phone to take a few photos and left the room.

Sitting on the sofa in the living room, I huddled myself up, feeling insecure.

Isn't such a big house my home? Why do I still have no place to stay.

When I was a child, my mother didn't like me, but my father treated me well. It was just that he was always busy with work and wasn't at home.

I used to ask Mom why she didn't love me. Dad touched my head and explained that it wasn't that Mom didn't love me She just loved my sister more.

But I didn't expect that she would push me into the fiery pit.

After I married Wayne, I was known as the dignified and decent young mistress of the Wilson family, but I could be beaten and scolded at will behind others' backs.

I didn't give up. I always wanted to run. I finally succeeded.

I ran home and told Mom that Wayne was a pervert. Mom didn't say anything, and she lovingly touched my face. I was relieved and fell asleep. When I woke up, I found I was at the Wilson's house.

On that day, I screamed for help in despair, which aroused Wayne's even stronger desire to abuse me. In the end, I failed to hold on and died.

The phone buzzed, pulling me out of my memories. It was a message from Jasper.

  "Amy, are you all right?

"If you can, send me a message.

"I'll be at your house in 10 minutes.

  "Don't be afraid.

How did he know that my nickname was "Amy"?

I thought it at the wrong time.

  "I'm fine."

  My phone suddenly rang.

"Where are you?" Jasper's voice sounded anxious and fierce.

"I'm at home," I was afraid of waking up my mother, so I responded in a low voice.

"Don't hang up. Come to the door. I'll wait for you here."

I raised my phone and walked to the door in the dark. Hearing Jasper's rapid breathing, I felt inexplicably at ease.

A black Jeep was parked outside the door. As soon as I walked out of the door, I was held in someone's arms, and there was a reassuring sandalwood fragrance at the tip of my nose.

I raised my head slightly and saw Jasper murmuring to himself with his eyes closed, "Fortunately, I made it in time... That's great..."

I didn't get to the bottom of his words. I just tightened my arms around Jasper's waist and indulged myself in burying my head in his arms.

Back in the car, Jasper held my hand and kept rubbing it. I felt a little shy. "You... Why are you here?"

In my memory, we were not familiar with each other. In addition, it took an hour to drive from his house to my house.

"I had a dream. In the dream... Forget it. Stay with me for a while, okay? Just stay here."

His eyes were bright, and for some reason I agreed.

I didn't know when I fell asleep. As soon as dawn broke, a scream came from home.

I was awakened. Jasper held my hand and smiled beautifully in the rising sun.

"Let's go, Amy. We're going to get married after saying hello."

The wedding ceremony was completed with Serena gnashing her teeth and Wayne's indifference.

On the contrary, my mother was unusually calm.

After a round of toasts, Jasper asked me to go back to the room to take a rest, and my mother encouraged Serena to go upstairs with me.

"In the elevator, Serena changed her usual arrogant and domineering attitude and approached me obediently. “I know that I have done a lot of rude things to you in the past. Please forgive me for the sake of our sisterhood. After today, we will marry into another families and have to take care of each other."

I lifted my eyes to size her up. Her acting was quite convincing.

"Rena, I won't blame you. I can't be happier if you're willing to coexist peacefully with me."

If it were in the past, I would have been happy from the bottom of my heart.

"Sister, let's go to your room and chat for a while."

As soon as I entered the room, she took out a handkerchief from her back and covered my mouth and nose tightly.

  She couldn't wait any longer.

It was a pity that I had already seen what Serena and our mother were planning in the corner.

In this life, I will not only cultivate my life, but also let you have a taste of what it feels like to live a life worse than death.

I pretended to struggle a few times and then stopped moving.

She dialed to our mother and said that she had managed it. Then, she sat aside and waited.

I quietly took out my phone that had been muted and shared my location with Jasper. Then, I turned on the camera.

The man who came was Wayne.

"I'll leave Amelia to you. Don't let her run away again this time."

"It's not your turn to teach me how to do things!"

Wayne carried me into a car. I endured the disgust and allowed his hands to wander around my body.

He was still muttering something, “I really want to see if you are like what your mother said.”

  What did my mother say?

Before I could think further, the car stopped. Wayne carried me out of the car and entered the house.

I felt that I had passed by a long corridor. Except for the greeting of "Hello, Mr. Wilson" every few steps, it was very quiet here. It was so quiet that it made my heart beat deafening.

"Baby, I'll take a shower first and be back soon!"

Wayne touched me hard and went to the bathroom.

I opened my eyes and looked around. This place seemed to be Wayne's basement in his previous life!

My body couldn't help but tremble, and my legs went weak.

I tried my best to calm myself down and quietly opened the door a crack.

This was not the basement but more like a clubhouse. There was a waiter every 10 feet outside the door, two rows of people standing face to face. They looked more like thugs than waiters.

It was impossible to force my way out. I could only stall for time and wait for Jasper to arrive.

The sound of running water in the bathroom suddenly stopped. I grabbed the ashtray on the table, hid it under my body, and lay back down on the sofa.

Wayne came over with a nauseating smell. He reached out and stroked my face, giving me goosebumps all over my body.

His hand suddenly paused. "You're awake?"

I suddenly opened my eyes and threw the ashtray at him.

In a moment of carelessness, I hit him on the forehead and he fainted.

Before I could open the door and take two steps, I was caught by the waiter. Wayne covered his head and chased after me. Just as he was about to hit me, his phone rang.

"Send her away. Jasper and the police are on their way!"

Thanks to the quiet environment, I could hear my mother's voice clearly on the phone.

Regardless of his injury, Wayne immediately ordered the waiter to cover my eyes and throw me to the side of the road.

When Jasper arrived, he was wearing a formal dress. My hands and feet were tied, making me shiver. He hugged me tightly, and his hot breath brushed against my ear. My heart was finally at ease.

The next day, I went to the police station to finish the statement and heard from the police that there was no place similar to my description in the area where I sent the location. My mobile phone was searched before entering, and there was no way to provide relevant evidence.

There was no direct evidence to prove that Serena and Wayne kidnapped me. The hotel's surveillance video happened to be lost during that period of time, so it could not be restored.

  Everything was just right.

That night, I received a text message from an unknown number, "Don't stretch your hand too far. I'll keep an eye on you."
