The Abandoned Baby Who Was Raised For Many Years Met His Biological Mother Novel Cover

The Abandoned Baby Who Was Raised For Many Years Met His Biological Mother

After years of grueling work, I supported my husband’s supposedly "abandoned" roadside baby through a doctoral program abroad. But instead of gratitude, he mockingly demands a divorce to reunite with his secret lover and the son he loves more than our own. Believing he has outsmarted me, he expects devastation. Instead, I simply smile and agree to let them go. He has no idea that his betrayal is met not with tears, but with my own quiet, calculated satisfaction.

Chapter 2

A surprise? Just not let it become a shock to you.

After a while, neighbors gradually learned the truth of the matter.

They all didn’t understand my approach.

“If you like children, just give birth to one yourself. Why pick up a child and raise it as a treasure?”

“Is it impossible to give birth?”

“Medical science is very advanced now. As long as you want to give birth, you will definitely give birth.”

“I don’t know what this woman is thinking.”

The neighbor came over and said to me, “So the child was really picked up by your husband. How could you be so stupid? No matter how good you are to the child, it won’t work because it’s not your own. Sooner or later, the biological parents will come to your house and take the child away.”

“So, if you like children, you have to give birth to them yourself. Now, children are raised with IVF. The reproductive hospital in our city is very famous. Many people who can’t give birth can get it done after a few visits. I have relatives there. I’ll contact them and you and your husband can go directly there.”

I smiled and shook my head. “Sister, thank you for your kindness. I think this is good.”

The neighbor touched my forehead and looked at me as if I was crazy.

Later, this matter spread through the mouths of the other elder sisters like the wind.

There were all kinds of ugly sayings.

Some people said that my brain was filled with water.

Some people said that I had a mental illness.

Others said that I wanted to be an Internet celebrity and wanted to be famous.

All of these, I didn’t care.

When naming the child, Alvin was very attentive.

He handed the company to his assistant and looked up the dictionary at home for three days.

In the end, the child’s nickname was Hadie and his full name was Hayden Hartley.

It was obviously a boy, but he was given a girl’s name.

Every day after getting off work, Alvin would hold the child in his arms.

He called “Hadie” one by one, whispering softly.

Sometimes, while calling, he looked out the window.

It was like he had lost his soul.

Everything was in my sight.

I pretended to be unaware and the long-brewing plan in my mind became more mature.

Hadie grew up day by day under my careful care.

When he reached school age, I picked him up every day, rain or shine.

He had the highest attendance rate among all parents.

After a while, many parents knew me.

When they knew that Hadie was adopted, they were all very surprised and didn’t understand.

Especially when Hadie was very good at studying and ranked among the top in every exam.

Many parents said things to me.

It was fine to say that the child had no future. With such good grades, his biological parents would come back one day to recognize him and take the child away. Then I would get nothing.

I didn’t say anything when encountering such a situation, I just laughed it off.

I was more and more attentive to the child.

I took better and better care of him.

One day, Alvin, who never gave gifts, bought me an expensive silk scarf for the first time.

He said that I was too good to Hadie and it was a reward for me.

I said that the child was ours, so why was he so distant?

He was stunned for a moment and nodded quickly. “Yes, you are right, we should not be distant.”

After saying that, he turned to one side and couldn’t help showing a proud and mysterious smile on his face.

I laughed too, laughing in my heart.

Mr. Hartley, you always thought that I was kept in the dark. You thought you were very smart, but you didn’t know that there were people who were smarter than you.

But, that person was not me.

Time passed quickly and in the blink of an eye, Hadie graduated from high school and was admitted to a famous university abroad.
