Chapter 3

"Hey, who are you? You're in the wrong place."

A man said sarcastically with a New York accent, halting my wandering thoughts. It was then that I noticed other young men and women in the private room.

They were wearing almost all the luxury goods that I could only see online.

More than ten people shifted their unfriendly gazes to me. I was apparently not welcome among them.

I couldn't help but look at Nathan.

I even doubted whether the man in front of me just looked very similar to Nathan.

I thought wildly. Nathan lost his memory. Is this person Nathan's brother?

"I'm asking you a question. Are you mute? Say something!" Another impatient voice snapped.

This time, Nathan spoke.

"I invited her here."

The private room instantly quieted down.

I froze for a moment and then pondered.

Oh, so he is my Nathan.

I walked towards him with a smile and asked, "I'm here to pick you up. Why are you here?"

"Sit down and have a drink together."

Nathan poured a glass of wine, his eyes devoid of any emotion.

What was wrong with him?

I suddenly felt like crying. Lips pursed, I bent down to pick up the glass of wine he had poured and drank it all in one go.

The strong wine made my throat constrict, and I doubled over in embarrassment and coughed violently.

My eyes were moist with tears, and I barely managed to suppress the urge to cough. Then I looked up at Nathan.

He looked at me coldly as if he was looking at a stranger.

"Nathan, who is this strange girl?"

I froze.

Something that I had been ignoring suddenly became clear. "Have you recovered your memory?"
