An Intern Claims to be Pregnant with My Brother's Child, She Didn't Know My Brother was Adopted

I just told the new intern not to eat instant noodles, as they would cause a strong smell in the office. Instead, the intern suddenly got arrogant and wanted me to apologize.

“It's not me who wants to eat these fried instant noodles, but the future president of the company in my belly who wants to eat it.”

“Just based on your attitude towards me, it's enough to make you die a hundred times. I'm carrying your brother's first son in my belly!”

I was so dumbfounded by the intern that I thought she was a “pregnant lady” who had a psychotic break, so I called Human Resources and had her fired on the spot. She was so furious that she brought my brother over as her backup.

I didn't have time to be shocked by the intern and my brother. My brother, however, started yelling and pointed at me without hearing any explanation.

“The eldest brother is like a father and the eldest sister-in-law is like a mother. Do you want to live if you disobey us like this?”

“If you still want to stay in the family, immediately kneel down and kowtow to your sister-in-law and apologize!”

Looking at the crazy husband and wife in front of me, I couldn't hold back my laughter.

“A foster son without a household registration is just a foster son. You dare to say that the elder brother is like a father?”

When I passed by the sales department office, I suddenly smelled a pungent aroma. I thought of all those online stories about employees losing it. And I was a little unsure whether my company's employees were also crazy.

I walked in.  Luckily, no one was losing their mind. The source of the aroma was the new intern, Madeleine Lidoine, who was eating fried curry instant noodles without paying attention to anyone else.

The people around me didn't look like they had very good faces either. They looked angry but not dared to speak out.

I frowned, thinking that interns nowadays were more sensitive and disobedient, so I tried my best to use a gentle tone of voice to hint.

“Are you so busy today? So late for lunch?”

Madeleine raised her head to look up and hummed in an unkind tone, “What’s there for an intern to be busy with? I'm just waiting to get off work. I don't like the cafeteria's food, so I ordered takeout myself.”

“If you're really kind and have good intentions for your employees, to improve the cafeteria's food. Don't act like a know-it-all leader here.”

I was momentarily angry. I had heard that the interns nowadays talk back to everyone. But how could I have never thought that she would be so easy to stress? So I was also a little angry.

“Interns also have things that interns should do! What do you mean by waiting until the end of work?”

“Cooking is hard to satisfy everyone. If you think it's not good and you want to eat takeout, I don't have a problem with it. But this is an office, not a place to eat such as a dining hall.”

“What's more, it's okay for you to eat a sandwich, but you do not have to eat fried curry instant noodles. That smell…”

Before the words were finished, Madeleine suddenly stood up and knocked the bowl full of fried curry instant noodles directly to the ground. The whole space smelled even heavier.

“I'm a pregnant woman. Haven't you heard that a woman is a princess on the day she gets married? And after she gets pregnant she can be a queen for ten months! I'm the queen now. I can eat whatever I want and do whatever I want!”

“You, a spinster who can’t get married, just can’t stand to see me happy, huh? Are you going to force me to die, one body and two lives?”

Looking at Madeleine's broken-down appearance. I only felt speechless. If it wasn't for the fact that I was a party to the case. I really would have thought that she was suffering from a great deal of wrongdoing.

Madeleine Lidoine was a new intern in this batch. She has been in a bad working state. But since her probation wasn’t over, I wanted to give her a chance. But I did not expect that she would come here to take care of her pregnancy.

I was a little angry and immediately wanted her to leave. But I also remembered that Madeleine was pregnant at the moment. A pregnant woman was easily agitated, plus she hadn’t eaten. In case she really met something, I couldn't save myself even if I jumped off a tall building.
