Our Seven-year Marriage Remains Fragile Chapter 1

My wife Jean Clark aborted her five-month-old fetus for a cat given by her first love.

My parents couldn't stand the blow and fainted. Even they were admitted to the ICU in time, they failed to be rescued.

I called Jean many times, but she didn't answer.

I held my parents' funeral alone and calmly proposed a divorce to her.

The next time I saw Jean was a week later.

She must have finally turned on her phone and read my message.

As soon as she returned home, she shouted at me angrily, "Ryan, what are you doing?

"It's just a child. Since we're at such a young age, can't we have another child in the future? Why do we must have a baby now?"

I looked at her calmly. I didn't know when the face that I had loved for so many years had become so disgusting.

"No need. We won't have another child in the future. Let's get a divorce."

She was stunned for a moment, perhaps because my tone was too calm.

"I've already asked the lawyer to draft the divorce agreement. Sign it if you have no problem with it."

As I spoke, I handed her the divorce agreement that I had prepared.

Without even looking at it, she tore it into pieces and threw it to the ground angrily.

I chuckled. "Just tear it apart. I'll print it again."

"Ryan, are you done yet?"

Perhaps it was because I had been enduring it patiently that she felt that I was just losing my temper at the moment.

She was my first love. I had a crush on her at first sight, and then I pursued her for four years before she agreed.

Later, we got married.

After two years of sweet married life, we had our first baby.

After getting pregnant, she had a bad temper. She wanted to travel one moment, then go to the bar to listen to music the next.

I was afraid that something would happen to her and wanted to accompany her, but she wouldn't let me.

I had no choice but to ask her best friend to accompany her.

I had always tolerated and spoiled her.

I thought it was normal for hormones to affect her temper when she was pregnant.

However, I saw her photo with her first love Shane Wright on her best friend's Facebook page.

She leaned against Shane's shoulder with a bright smile.

At that moment, I felt as if I had been struck by lightning.

I had never thought that all her changes were caused by the return of the man she had been missing.

My happy family was gone in an instant.

Considering that she was pregnant, I didn't say anything. After she returned back from the travel, I didn't mention anything.

I didn't expect that she could abort our child as soon as Shane sent her a cat.

How cheap am I? My child can't even compare to a cat.

It was ridiculous that she was asking me if I was done yet.

"Sign the divorce agreement, and we'll end it here!"

She stared at me with cold eyes.

I didn't care. "It doesn't matter if you don't sign it. I'll move out today. Let's separate and meet in court later."

"Ryan, how long are you going to make trouble?" Jean shouted angrily.

It was ridiculous that she still thought that I was making trouble.

I didn't look back. I pulled my suitcase to the door and happened to meet Shane, who opened the door and came in with a key in his hand.

He was in such a hurry that he couldn't wait to move in before I left.

I turned to Jean and said, "Did you give him the key?"

"Yes. It's inconvenient for Shane to live alone. I'm afraid that he can't take good care of himself."

He was in his thirties, but he still couldn't take care of himself. Was there something wrong with his intelligence?

No, it wasn't him who had a intelligence problem. It was Jean!

I sneered and said, "Good job. From now on, this house belongs to you. I wish you a happy life.

"I'll send you the divorce agreement. Remember to sign it."

Shane held me back. "Ryan, do you have to be like this? As a man, why do you fuss over such a small matter? Jean and I are just ordinary friends.

"The miscarriage was an accident because of Jean's allergic reaction to cat hair.

"As a man, you should be more generous."

She aborted the baby because she was allergic to cat hair, so why not throw the cat away?

My eyes were cold as I shook off Shane's hand!

"You're a male mistress. What right do you have to teach me a lesson? How dare you ask me to be generous?

"But it makes sense. Only those who can't wait to be a male mistress will ask the husband generous."

Jean said angrily, "Ryan, how can you talk to Shane like that? Apologize to him now."

"Get lost!"

I roared at Jean and pulled my suitcase out of the house.
