On the Wedding Day, My First Love Refused to Marry Me
Chapter 1
When I was thirty years old, I was finally going to marry my crush.
Everyone said that I, a plain programmer, was lucky.
However, I didn't expect to receive an anonymous message an hour before the wedding.
"You're lucky to marry my mistress!"
This man thought I would put up with it, but I took out my laptop to locate him and hack his phone.
As a result, I found out about my crush's affair.

At the age of thirty, I was finally getting married.
My fiancée was Daisy Smith, my crush and the beauty of the dance major who charmed many boys in college.
On the wedding day, all the guests told me I was fortunate. Actually, I couldn't believe I would marry Daisy.
I was a plain programmer with an average income, but I was going to marry my crush.
I was so nervous that I was about to go over the wedding process with the emcee when I received an anonymous message.
"You're lucky to marry my mistress!"
I frowned. To be honest, many people were jealous of me since I sent out the wedding invitations, but he was the first person who was rude to me.
He might think that I would feel helpless for the anonymous message, but he underestimated me. I turned on the laptop to analyze the message, and then I found out his identity.
"Max Wood. Huh, huh. An acquaintance." He was the rich second generation in our class, and he was Daisy's admirer.
"When did they fall in love?" In my memory, Daisy was always elegant and indifferent to all the admirers.
I couldn't help but open Max's photo album and network disk on his phone. Ignoring the pornographic videos, I found a lot of intimate photos of Daisy and him that were disgusting.
In those photos, Daisy looked like an unsatisfied and open woman who was vain and materialistic.
I also saw an ultrasound report and a chat screenshot.
"Max, I'm pregnant. You have to take responsibility!"
"Daisy, you've had sex with many men. Don't pretend. Just seek an honest person to get married. Stop bothering me."
I thought about the timeline. Then, I felt like a bucket of cold water was poured over me, and I was brokenhearted.
Max sent another message.
"A cuckold. An ordinary person like you is born a loser. You actually think you're awesome because you'll marry your crush."
If I hadn't seen those photos and screenshots, I would have just thought he was slandering and furious for envy.
But now, the evidence was overwhelming.
I was indeed an honest person, but I wouldn't stand the humiliation and allow others to disdain my sincerity!
I called the person in charge of the wedding, "I'd like to cancel the wedding."
2
After ten minutes, Daisy came over with a white wedding dress, looking aggressive. As soon as we met, she questioned me, "Leo, what's wrong with you? Why did you cancel the wedding?"
I was sitting on a small stool backstage dejectedly. "I don't want to get married."
I had thought that my secret love of many years would come true. However, it was just a colorful bubble under the sun, which burst as soon as it was poked, emitting the stench.
Daisy was so angry that she stamped her feet. "You cancelled the wedding which damages my self-esteem."
"You just care about your self-esteem. You can't even ask me why I don't want to get married."
"Daisy, do you love me?" I looked up into her eyes.
With exquisite makeup, Daisy was stunned for a moment, and then she pulled me up and coaxed me.
"You are a gentleman. Why do you always ask me whether I love you? I'm going to marry you.
"Don't make a scene. The wedding will start in an hour. Stop being angry."
Daisy coaxed me for a long time. She kissed and hugged me, saying that I was handsome today and that the wedding planner I hired was capable. But she didn't answer the question of whether she loved me.
"Stop."
I gave a wry smile. Daisy was skilled at acting, and it was a pity that she didn't become an actress.
Three months ago, Daisy and I met by chance in a coffee shop on the corner of the street. She first called my name and approached me. Then, she accepted the friend request I had sent for seven years.
Just when I was overwhelmed by this luck, Daisy texted me a week later to ask me to pick her up. I accompanied her for a drink at a food stall. She told me she had suffered a lot of grievances after working, but no one could listen to her. I racked my brains to make her laugh.
On that day, we both lost control after drinking. The next day, we woke up in the hotel and began a romantic relationship. Strangely, after that, Daisy rarely accepted my intimate contact, but I just thought she was conservative.
It turned out that all was Daisy's conspiracy. She was reluctant to abort the baby, so she found me and let me think that the baby was mine.
Daisy twisted my arm.
"I've called to let the wedding go ahead. Leo, you've said you will cherish me and many sweet words. Are they lies? How could you treat me like this?
"If you go back on your word, I will go to your company and let others see what kind of person you are!"
"Okay, let's go ahead and get married," I said softly.
"I wanted to let you go based on the little kindness I had left and the memories of my youth, but you refused.
"Well, today, I will ruin your reputation."
3
After getting my promise, Daisy quickly put down her hand on my shoulder, smiled, and said threateningly, "Go out and entertain the guests. Don't mess around anymore."
After she left, I patted the places on my body where she touched and cursed.
Thinking about the men I invited, I walked straight to the table of the guests of the bridegroom to entertain them.
Unexpectedly, Max came here without an invitation.
"Hey, we're classmates. Why didn't you invite me to your wedding?" Max greeted me with a smile as soon as he saw me. "You're handsome in this suit today. It's much better than those thirty-dollar plaid shirts you wore before."
"Leo is just a loser, but married his crush. How dare he show off in front of the real rich second generation? Ha, ha, ha, right?"
The one who agreed with Max was Andy Lee, my roommate. I didn't want to invite him at first, but he knew about my marriage through other people and forced me to allow him to attend the wedding.
After learning that the bride was Daisy, Andy often told me that I was lucky.
"Alas, my family is just making a little money. I opened an electronics factory this year and earned about a million dollars." Max boasted. "Leo is a programmer and earned money through hard work. There is no need to compare. Labor is the most glorious, ha, ha!"
Andy quickly said, "Max, could you get me in the factory? Let me follow you to make a little money!"
Max was arrogant after being flattered.
"Leo, I heard that people in your industry would be fired when they turned 35. I think you may lose the job quickly. How about working in my factory? I'll provide free food and accommodation, and you can earn six thousand to seven thousand dollars a month!"
A female classmate said, "Max is right. Leo, Daisy looks like a big spender. How can you support her with your insufficient income?"
After saying that, the female classmate glanced at Max with love.
At this time, Daisy came over with a gloomy face. Once she saw Max, she looked away and wanted to pull me away. "Leo, wait to come on the stage."
Max held Daisy and raised his eyebrows. "We are all classmates. Don't leave in a hurry. Daisy, you look so beautiful today. No wonder you're the prettiest girl of the dance major. If you were my wife, I would be happy."
By saying such words in front of me, who was the bridegroom, Max was simply damaging my dignity.
Gavin Brown, my colleague, spoke up for me, perhaps because he didn't want me to be humiliated in front of Daisy.
"Leo, you just got a two million dollars in dividends a few days ago. How could you want to join an electronics factory?"
Hearing Gavin's words, everyone was shocked. Daisy changed her face. She might not have imagined that a programmer like me could earn a lot of money.
I followed Gavin and smiled. "Max, forget it. I spent fifty thousand dollars on a midnight snack for the team members yesterday. Six thousand or seven thousand dollars was too little."
"Leo, can you really earn so much?" Daisy murmured and became gentle. "Why didn't you tell me earlier? You wore the same shirt five times in ten days. I thought..."
"Daisy, don't believe him!" Max couldn't stand the admiring gazes on me. He was so anxious. "Two million dollars? It's all nonsense. Does he dare to let you see the balance of his bank card?"
"Then, dare you let others see your balance? Mr. Wood?" I smiled.
Max was stubborn. "Of course." Then, he was about to turn on his phone.
I hacked his phone when I was in the lounge, so he couldn't turn it on. After three or four minutes, the female classmate who had been going to hook up with Max said, "Mr. Wood, aren't you willing to show it to me? Stop pretending your phone is broken."
I said, "I'm a programmer. Let me fix it."
As soon as I finished speaking, I grabbed the phone and fiddled with it for a few seconds. Finally, Max's phone was turned on. At this time, I exclaimed.
"Max, is there anything bad in your photo album? I accidentally shared it."
Many people received Max's nude photos. Some young people shouted.
"Oh my god. He's slim like a needle!"
Just as I was admiring the changes in Max's face, someone suddenly slapped me on the back. When I turned around, it was Alex Smith, Daisy's father.

"Leo, what's wrong with you? There aren't enough cigarettes and wine. Why are you doing?"
For drinking, Alex's cheeks were red, and his yellow teeth were exposed. He breathed heavily when he spoke.
There were not enough cigarettes and wine because Daisy's guests were like locusts. They wanted to take all cigarettes and wine without even opening lids.
I sneered. "You're acting like my father-in-law even before Daisy and I get the marriage certificate. You're arrogant."
Fortunately, the Smith family was eager to show off and thought I was honest, so I was urged to hold the wedding and then get the marriage certificate. Otherwise, I would be dead meat.
When preparing for the wedding, Alex wanted to let all relatives know that Daisy would marry a good man. Not only did he ask me for 1.88 million dollars as an engagement gift, but he also strongly demanded that I book a high-end restaurant, or he would not allow me to marry Daisy.
At that time, I was in a hurry to marry Daisy, and I thought Daisy would feel aggrieved to marry me. So, I agreed and promised to buy a house and a car. It could be said that it cost all my assets to get married.
Realizing that I ignored him, Alex was obviously unhappy. He pushed me on the shoulder and growled, "What do you mean?"
Seeing me being scolded, Daisy tried to ease the situation for the two million dollars I earned. "Dad, you're drunk. Go back to rest for a while."
I was almost pushed to the ground by Alex. Then, I staggered and replied.
"It's Daisy who is begging me to marry her now. If you don't want to let her marry me, I will ask everyone to stop.
"But if Daisy can't get married today, both you and Daisy will be mocked."
"Bastard!" Daisy was embarrassed for me, and she became so angry that she slapped me hard. "Leo, you are so bold!"
I smiled and walked towards the center of the stage. The emcee was on one side. I took the microphone and said loudly, "Daisy, you said I was getting bolder. Now, I'll show you how bold I am!"
