Chapter 5

Alexander would not let me go:

"Aren't you curious about who that person was just now? Didn't he always love to follow me?"

It turned out that it was my indifferent reaction that aroused his curiosity.

Unfortunately, having seen so much differential treatment from him in my previous life, I have become accustomed to his contrasting behavior.

I had no interest in accompanying him to buy a gift for Isabella.

"Why are you curious? I'm not interested in being a third wheel. Uncle, have a nice date!"

Alexander looked at me with a mysterious look.

He slammed the taxi door shut, sent the driver away, and dragged me straight to the jewelry store in the mall.

"Take out your most valuable treasure."

The lady in the jewelry store saw me being pulled into the store and thought we were a couple. She was busy picking up the pink diamond and praising our good looks.

When the girl was about to try the diamond ring on my hand, Alexander took the pink diamond with a cold face:

"She is worthy?"

The atmosphere in the store suddenly became extremely awkward.

I also understood that Alexander didn't let me go just to embarrass me.

But I didn't care at all, I looked up and broke the silence:

"Miss, you misunderstood. He is my uncle. We are choosing a gift for my aunt."

The atmosphere was finally harmonious, but Alexander felt even colder.

He ignored my wishes and dragged me to the airport to pick me up.

When I saw Isabella, I called her "Auntie" very naturally, which made her so happy that she was shaking with joy.

Alexander stared at me:

"What did you call her?"

I kept silent, pretending not to understand that he was already on the verge of anger, and pushed Isabella into his arms:

"Uncle, I'm leaving first!"

I ignored the looks behind me and quickly ran out of the airport.

As soon as they got home, the video of Alexander and Isabella kissing passionately at the airport became a hot topic.

When someone questioned whether the profile of this person was different from the profile captured by the paparazzi, Alexander officially responded:

[It's her.]

These two short words kept the Vance family busy.

That night, Isabella was cordially invited to the Vance family to discuss the marriage.

I wanted to stay in the room, but Isabella came upstairs to check on me.

But after the door closed, she put away her smile and stared at my belly with disdain:

"Stella, I know you were the one who was entangled with Alexander last night. Since you are so sensible, take this medicine."

"I don't want anything to happen between Alexander and me."

Looking at the pills in her palm, I thought Alexander asked her to deliver the pills and hit me in the face on purpose to make me give up my thoughts on him.

Seeing that I took the medicine without saying a word, Isabella went downstairs contentedly and told everyone that I was not feeling well and wanted to rest.

Mrs. Vance tried to come up to see me several times, but was stopped by her and Victoria.

Not long after taking the medicine, I started to feel a dull pain in my abdomen.

Not wanting to disturb Mrs. Vance, I endured the pain and forced myself to sleep.

While I was half asleep and half awake, it seemed like someone came into my room and fed me something.

The familiar bitter taste spread across my tongue, and I woke up instantly.

Seeing that it was Alexander, I acted like a spoiled child:

"Alexander, my stomach hurts so much, I want to go to the hospital..."

He gently tidied my hair which was soaked with cold sweat and said coldly:

"Didn't I tell you to go to my room to take medicine? Why didn't you go? Do you want to keep the evil offspring in your belly?"

Only then did I realize that what he had just put into my mouth were three Plan B Pills.

The doctor specifically instructed that you can only take two tablets of this medicine at most.

Including the ones Isabella gave me, I ate four in total.
