I No Longer Love Him, He Is Begging For Reconciliation Like Crazy

9.8 / 10.0
For two humiliating years, wealthy heiress Laura Newman acted as the ultimate devotee to Peter Moreno, a penniless rebel. She funded his lifestyle and even tolerated his other relationships. No one understood why a prestigious Newman daughter would humble herself for a nobody. But the moment a facial scar ruins Peter's appearance, Laura’s warmth turns to ice. He finally learns the brutal truth behind her obsession: without that specific face, he is absolutely nothing to her.

I No Longer Love Him, He Is Begging For Reconciliation Like Crazy Chapter 1

My name was Laura Newman, and I had been the simp of Peter Moreno for two years. He treated me but I paid, and when he dated someone else, I sent him two breakfasts.

Everyone was confused. I was the daughter of the Newman family, but I chose to be the simp of a punk.

One day, Peter's face was scratched, and the doctor said it would leave a scar.

I was no longer the simp. I looked indifferent.

"Without that face similar to his, you are nothing."

"Laura, your phone is ringing. It's Peter."

When I heard Peter's name, I quickly rinsed off the foam on my body, wrapped myself in a towel, and went out.

There was still foam and water droplets dripping down from my hair.

I dried my hands and answered the phone.

"What took you so long?"

Peter's tone was impatient.

"Sorry, I was taking a shower. What's up?"

"I'm treating my roommates to a meal. Come over and settle the bill."

Without waiting for my response, Peter hung up the phone directly.

My roommate looked at the foam on my hair and said indignantly.

"Laura! I don't get it. What's so good about Peter? Do you have to be so obsessed with him?

"What else does he have besides a pretty face? You are a beautiful and wealthy girl. Why do you have to be with him? He's just a punk."

I said while tidying up.

"You won't understand."

I didn't waste a second. I quickly blow-dried my hair and grabbed my backpack, and then I headed to the barbecue joint that Peter often went to.

As soon as I arrived at the door, I saw it was crowded. I approached and saw Peter arguing with a man.

"I've already said I didn't mean to. It's not a big deal. Why can't you let go?"

The man became even angrier.

"You broke my phone screen. How dare you say that!"

I roughly got the general idea. The man passed by, and since Peter wasn't looking, he accidentally knocked the man's phone to the ground, and the screen was broken.

I stepped forward to mediate.

"Sir, please calm down. I will compensate you for the cost of the phone screen."

His tone softened a bit.

"Who are you?"

"I am his friend."

Peter looked at me with disdain.

"You're so meddlesome."

Hearing that, the man was even more displeased. He pointed at Peter's nose and said, "You're so ungrateful. She offers to help you, OK? Be nice!"

Not wanting them to argue again, I pulled the man aside.

"Calm down. How much? I'll pay."

I gave him the money.

Just as I was about to turn around and leave, he stopped me, hesitating.

"What's up, Sir?"

"You're a sensible young girl. But that guy is so unreliable. I'm sure he lacks a sense of responsibility.

"If you are in need of a boyfriend, I can introduce my son to you. He is much better than that guy."

He said a few more words before reluctantly leaving.

"Think about it. My son is outstanding."

I turned and walked towards Peter.

Peter's several roommates stood aside with interest.

"Laura, why are you smiling so happily? Don't tell us you've fallen for that old man."

"He's old enough to be your dad."

"That's not true. We just chatted for a bit. Don't get me wrong. I..."

I explained humbly.

The more humble I was, the more proud Peter became, and he interrupted me directly.

"Enough. What does it have to do with me? Just go pay the bill."

When I paid the bill and came out, Peter and the others had already left.
