Neglecting Daughter for the Childhood Sweetheart
Chapter 3
After hanging up the phone, I suddenly felt that I was really blind. Thinking back on the seven years of marriage with Cameron, he had always been stingy with me.
Even for anniversaries, he would bring up the days when we drank porridge and lived in a rented house, warning me to save money.
After our life got better, he seemed to be afraid that I would use his money. He would check every expense with me.
Even the cost of our daughter's surgery was paid by me. He acted like Tina was not his child.
And at this point when our daughter was in a coma, he was happily spending my money with another woman, but was impatiently trying to take all my property and make me leave with nothing.
I had mixed feelings in my heart. This seven-year marriage had really been a waste.
"Jessica, what's happening?" While I was lost in thought, my grandfather suddenly burst in, looking disheveled and full of concern as he held me for a long time.
"He is so unbelievable and ungrateful! I really don't know how to comfort you." My grandfather hugged me and looked around. "I have just arranged for the best doctor to treat Tina. Don't worry too much.
Don't try to handle everything on your own. You still have me!"
My eyes were moist, and I felt myself so foolish. I had insisted on marrying Cameron despite my grandfather's opposition, and even strained my relationship with him because of Cameron.
But no matter how many times I angered him, he always unconditionally supported me and helped me from behind.
"Jessica, let's go home. We don't need that shameless man anymore. I will find a better man for you. If you don't want to get married again, you can still come back home."
After hearing this, I couldn't help but burst into tears and threw myself into my grandfather's arms.
Yes, why did I casually entrust my whole life to a man? Why did I have to live a humble life for love?
"Grandpa, I want to take back everything that belongs to me. I can't let Tina suffer so much for nothing!"
My grandfather smiled with satisfaction. "This is my good granddaughter, the heir of the White family."
While my grandfather and I were joking, suddenly there came an angry shout from behind.
"You're good, Jessica. I've only been gone for a short while, and you've found a sugar daddy for yourself. Isn't he too old for you? You really don't have any principles!" Cameron stood in front of me holding a lawsuit document.
"Since you've cheated on me anyway, hurry up and sign!" He grabbed my hand in a fit of anger and was about to press my fingerprint.
A sense of desolation rose in my heart. When we got married, my mother-in-law thought that my family was not respectable enough and hadn't even met my family.
Therefore, Cameron had no idea that this was my grandfather.
I stood up and asked, "Cameron, can't you have some dignity? Don't be so dirty-minded and think that everyone is filthy.
Not everyone is like you. I have reported Vivian. Let's meet in court later!"
But Cameron looked at me mockingly, "Just you? Don't you get yourself into trouble at other times."
My grandpa was so angry that he hit Cameron with his crutch, "Your daughter is in danger, and you still have the heart to say these cold words?"
Cameron looked at my grandfather indifferently, "What can you do with us? I don't get her into trouble but divorce her, which is already very merciful."
At this time, the ringtone that Cameron had set exclusively for Vivian rang abruptly, "Cameron, come and save me. I have been reported for illegal fundraising."
"Illegal fundraising?" Cameron hung up the phone in surprise.
"You did it, didn't you?" He glared at me angrily.
I laughed, "If you don't want others to know, don't do it yourself. You are having an affair with her, and you opened that custody center in Vivian's name. Why can't I fight back?"
"You know it all?" Cameron's face turned pale, and there was a hint of guilt in his eyes.
But he still clung to the hope, "She was just a teacher I hired. I saw that she didn't have a job when she returned to the country..."
"What tricks do you have? Come at me! What's the meaning of messing with her?"
"You take care of her in bed just because she doesn't have a job? You are so shameless!" I mocked.
"You'd better think of a way to get her out. Don't end up getting yourself in trouble."
"You..." He was so angry that he couldn't speak, but he also felt sorry for Vivian. He turned around and slammed the door as he left.
My grandfather glanced at the divorce agreement and lawsuit documents that Cameron brought over, and almost burst out laughing. "He used our money to start a company, and now he wants to kick you out for his mistress? She hurt Tina, but now she wants to sue you?
What a shameless couple!"
I also thought it very ridiculous. I actually endured this kind of nonsense for seven years?
"Our White family is not easy to be trifled with. Don't worry. I have already hired the best lawyer for you."
"Grandpa, I want to kick Cameron out of the house!"
