My Wife Said the Child is Not Mine
Chapter 3
It was Emily.
After hesitating for a few seconds, I answered.
Just connected, I heard a harsh voice.
"Jacob, where the hell have you been?
How dare you leave me alone in the hospital? Do you have a conscience?
Hurry up and come back to me!"
Before the paternity test results came out, I had to keep her stable and not let her know that I suspected the child was not mine.
After calming myself down, I walked into the ward.
A pillow was thrown at me, and Emily angrily scolded me, "How dare you come back?"
Wasn't it you who asked me to come back?
Although complaining, I lied, "Sorry, honey, our son wasn't feeling well, so I went back to check on him."
Her face looked better when she heard it was because of our son.
Emily was fine, she could go home after paying the fees.
In the following two days, I was burdened with worries, and Emily was as picky as ever towards me.
When our son had a fever in the middle of the night, she kicked me off the bed and asked me to take care of him.
I didn't sleep all night, and our son's fever didn't subside until the early morning.
I had just fallen asleep when I received a call from the paternity testing center.
I wanted to sleep for a while before going, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't fall asleep. I felt discomfort as if someone was scratching my heart. So, I went there exhausted.
On the way there, I still had a glimmer of hope.
After reading the report, my hope was completely gone.
I never knew why Emily was willing to marry me when she was so good.
Now I finally knew!
The kid was not mine,
but her and her lover's kid!
According to the time calculation, she was already pregnant when she married me. It was funny that I had no idea and thought I had got a treasure.
Again and again, I endured her and her family's unreasonable demands.
If it weren't for her slip of the tongue under general anesthesia, I was afraid I would have been kept in the dark by her for the rest of my life. I would help others raise a kid.
Thinking about this year, I served their family hard, and my anger could no longer be suppressed.
I clenched my fist tightly, wishing to beat her up, asking her why she treated me like this, and how could she treat me as a fool!
I must divorce her!
But it couldn't just end like this.
I wanted her and her adulterer to be brought to ruin and to pay them back for all the shame they had caused me.
