Chapter 1

While working a part-time job delivering food at a hospital, I unexpectedly ran into my wife, who had already returned to her parents' home.

She was holding hands with a man as they walked into the gynecology department.

I recognized that man.

He was Liam, my wife's first love.

After they left, the doctor told me that my wife had come for a prenatal check-up.

The doctor also mentioned that my wife was three weeks pregnant.

My wife had been using my busy work schedule as an excuse to avoid intimacy, and we hadn't been together in six months.

***

To figure out when these two started their affair, I hired a private investigator.

After doing all that, I called my wife.

"Wife, when are you coming back? I miss you so much. How about I come to pick you up, and we can spend some time in Emeraldia?"

My wife's voice trembled slightly over the phone, "Honey, I'll be back tomorrow. You don't need to make a special trip to Emeraldia. You still have your part-time job delivering food. I don't want to tire you out by making you run back and forth. You've already worked so hard for our family, giving up your rest time. I'm going to help my mom now, talk to you later."

Just before she hung up, I heard a man's voice.

Considering my wife's tone, I instantly understood.

I had become a part of their play.

Anger surged through my mind, and I wanted to tear those two apart immediately.

The only remaining wit told me it was not possible!

It wouldn't be enough for these two scumbags.

Before, every time I suggested intimacy, my wife would decline, saying I was too busy and needed rest.

But now, while I was out delivering food, she was sneaking around with her first love and even answered my call.

Was it exciting to play?

Thinking about it, Liam was already married, with a beautiful wife and a well-behaved daughter.

My wife and I had been married for five years, and we hadn't even conceived a child, let alone had much intimacy.

My wife always said we should take it slow because I was busy. Was this her idea of taking it slow?

Who was I delivering takeout for on Sundays?

Wasn't it because my wife said she wanted a bigger house? My primary job was a bus driver, just an ordinary one.

During holidays, whenever I had free time, I would deliver takeout. All the money I saved went into one card, and I wouldn't touch any of the money inside.

And when I received my salary, my wife would receive a text message.

She could spend the money in my salary card as she pleased.

I had a clear conscience when it came to my wife.

I didn't understand why she treated me like this.

I thought about it all night, and even the takeout wouldn't be delivered.

The next day, I figured it out.

I loved her too much, which allowed her to treat me so recklessly.

Wife, didn't blame me for being heartless.

I could provide you with a worry-free life, but I could also make you fall from grace.

Was it your first lover?

Then I would become the dark moonlight of my wife, only fear and sleepless nights when you think of me!
