Chapter 3

I went to the hospital for checkups countless times.

But the doctors said that the existing instruments could not detect the underlying problem of mine.

But it is also true that I have no strength in my limbs.

It's not something I pretend to do.

Now I stood up without any warning.

How could they not be shocked?

"Well, you've been lying in bed for three years, and you even forced my daughter to quit her job to stay home and take care of you. Now, it turns out you were just faking illness."

Richard's face was filled with anger after he was shocked.

In his opinion, my previous illnesses were all fake.

"Is this something a human being can do?"

Margaret also glared at me with fierce eyes.

"Mother-in-law, please don't be angry. I...I'll ask Adam what's going on."

My mother quickly spoke up to smooth things over.

"The facts are right in front of us. Do you even need to ask? Your son feigned illness and caused my daughter to lose three years of her youth. Now he wants to divorce my daughter. If he can't give us a convincing reason, I will never let him go!"

Margaret seemed extremely excited, with a fierce look in her eyes.

He wanted to eat me alive.

My mother couldn't help but raise her hand and slapped me. She said angrily, "Adam, what's wrong with you? You need to explain it to Margaret right away, or I won't forgive you either."

"Do you really want me to explain?"

I glanced at Vivian, then at Margaret.

"Nonsense! If you don't give me a reasonable explanation, we will never forgive you!"

Margaret continued to glare at me.

"You want an explanation too?"

I asked Vivian.

"Adam, I took care of you day and night for three years, but you pretended to be sick and deceived me. I also want you to give me a reasonable explanation."

Vivian said with red eyes and a look of grievance on her face.

"good."

I nodded, glanced at everyone, and said calmly, "Since you all want an explanation, then I will give you one."

After saying that.

I pulled out my phone and called my buddy, Carter.

After the call is connected.

I asked calmly, "Carter, where are you?"

"Your doorstep."

"Well, the door is not locked, come in."

"Here I come."

After a moment.

Carter came into the living room.

"Uncle and aunt."

Carter came in and greeted my parents politely.

My parents nodded in response.

"What does your and Vivian's affairs have to do with Carter?"

My dad couldn't help but ask in a deep voice.

"Dad, don't worry."

I said and looked at Carter: "Did you bring everything I asked for?"

"Here it is."

Carter shook the document bag in his hand.

"Give me."

Carter came over and handed me the briefcase.

"Brother, my mission is completed, I will leave first."

Carter knew exactly what was going to happen here.

He doesn't want to get involved in my family affairs.

But I didn't let him go.

"Carter, wait a minute. I may need you to explain a few words later."

"Okay."

Carter had no choice but to find a place to sit.

"What on earth are you doing, bastard?"

Ryan asked, glaring at me angrily.

I ignored him.

Instead, he slammed the file bag onto the table, looked at Vivian calmly, and said, "The information inside can help everyone resolve their doubts. I'm thinking of you as husband and wife, so I'll part ways amicably. After this meal, you and I will go our separate ways and have nothing to do with each other from now on."

Pause.

My tone suddenly lifted, and I continued, "But you guys are pressing me, insisting on forcing me to give a reasonable explanation. If that's the case, then I don't need to give you any face anymore."
