Chapter 1

I was ill for three years and was bedridden for three years.

My wife quit her job and stayed at home to take care of me.

She wiped my body every day and emptied my bedpan.

I can eat my favorite dishes almost every day.

She works hard and never despises me.

Some friends advised her to divorce me as soon as possible.

She broke off relations with her friend directly.

Everyone envied me and said that I must have won the cosmic lottery in my previous life.

I have finally found a woman in my life who is willing to protect me with all her might.

However.

I was at a family gathering.

Say something earth-shattering in front of your parents and your wife's family.

"Vivian Sterling, I want to divorce you."

The whole family stopped what they were doing instantly.

They all looked at me in astonishment.

With a crackling sound.

The bowl in Vivian's hand fell to the ground and broke into pieces.

……

"Son, are you confused from your sleep?"

"Don't talk nonsense."

My parents kept winking at me anxiously.

I want to take back what I just said.

Before I could speak.

Richard Sterling put the bowl heavily on the table with a gloomy face. He glared at me with a cold face and gritted his teeth, "You bastard, my daughter gave up her career to take care of you at home. As long as you want to eat it, even if she doesn't know how to cook, she will call her mother and ask her mother to teach her. Now that your illness has improved a little, you want to abandon her?"

Margaret Sterling was so angry that she threw her chopsticks in my face and shouted, "You heartless thing! How has my daughter ever wronged you? She took care of you wholeheartedly and even emptied my bedpan for you. Not only are you not grateful, but you're actually divorcing her?"

Immediately following.

My brother stood up suddenly, rushed over to me, grabbed my collar, and said angrily, "You bastard, remember what I told you when you were lying in bed on the first day? If you dare to let my sister down, I will beat you to death. Do you think I said nothing?"

"Ryan Sterling, don't be impulsive. He might have said the wrong thing in a moment of confusion."

My father quickly stood up and persuaded my brother.

"Mother-in-law, don't worry, our Adam will definitely not divorce Vivian."

My mother also quickly spoke up to smooth things over and ease the atmosphere.

"Mom and Dad, please stop talking. I'm getting a divorce."

I spoke calmly.

“Bang!”

My dad suddenly slapped me.

Then, with an angry look on her face, she asked, "Adam Richardson, have you been lying in bed for so long that you've lost your mind? Vivian ignored the rumors, quit her job, and tirelessly cared for you at home for three years. She never once complained about being tired. What right do you have to file for divorce?"

"Adam, Mom won't stand by you this time. Vivian is the best daughter-in-law I've ever met. What reason do you have to divorce her? If you can't give us a convincing reason, your dad and I will never agree!"

Although my mother didn't do anything, I could tell she was very angry.

Too.

Vivian is almost the best wife in the world.

No man would initiate a divorce.

"I want to know why you insist on divorcing me?"

Vivian looked at me with red eyes and an incredible expression.

"Let's get divorced. It's meaningless."

I have no explanation.

"Tell me, what did I do wrong? Or did I make you angry in some way?"

Vivian burst into tears instantly.

I turned a blind eye and shook my head indifferently, saying, "After this meal, we'll go to the County Clerk's Office to get a divorce."
