Chapter 3

After she finished speaking, she found that I was silent, and then impatiently asked, "Why aren't you answering? If there's nothing, hang up, and don't delay my date with my boyfriend."

"Nina, give you one hour, immediately come to the hospital. You dare to be so arrogant after stealing someone else's life. Try saying one more word about Rebecca?" Auntie Iris spoke up.

Nina immediately paused for a moment and then said, "Auntie Iris, I was just joking with my sister. I'm on my way."

Auntie Iris didn't listen to her explanation and hung up the phone directly after notifying her.

Then she looked at the others in the room and said, "There are some things I don't want to say too harshly, but Rebecca is Ivana's daughter. When she passed away, I said I wanted to take Rebecca away, but you disagreed. Over the years, I thought you would always care and treat Rebecca better with blood ties. But now it seems that you not only enjoy everything Ivana left behind but also blame her daughter. When you have nightmares, aren't you afraid that Ivana will stand at the foot of your bed and ask if you feel guilty?"

Sure enough, as soon as she finished speaking, I saw several people's faces turn pale.

I also heard some important information and asked my aunt, "What does it mean, Auntie Iris? What did my parents leave for me?"

My aunt touched my head and said, "Your mother loves you so much, how could she hope that you would live poorly?"

As soon as she finished speaking, Uncle Patrick interrupted, "Iris, you came back to see me and still want to cause trouble? I'm already paralyzed. Even if you think it's inappropriate for Rebecca to come back, you can't erase the years of nurturing she received from me. I treated Rebecca as same as Nina."

He had just finished the surgery and started coughing because he spoke too forcefully.

I wanted to speak, but I was interrupted by Auntie Iris, "What? Do you want me to settle accounts with you in front of everyone? Your daughter is living a luxurious life, while Rebecca has to rely on others and live like a servant. And now you are using the favor of raising her to threaten her? Let me tell you, no matter what happens today, you cannot continue to hinder Rebecca's life."

My grandma wanted to say something but was stopped by my grandpa.

They gathered together, looking at the unhappy expressions on Auntie Iris' and my face.

These days, I had been on leave to take care of Uncle Patrick. My aunt told me not to go back to school until Uncle Patrick's stitches were removed, and some issues needed to be resolved.

My aunt looked at Auntie Iris and said, "Iris, what are you saying? Do you think that speaking out is not for your own sake?"

"Then you don't need to know. Rebecca is already an adult, and there are some things she needs to know the truth about."

Finally, my grandpa couldn't bear it anymore and came over to slap Auntie Iris, "Do you have to break up your brother's family before you stop?"

Auntie Iris turned her head and, after being slapped, continued, "If you hadn't favored him than me, maybe you would have had both sons and daughters and wouldn't have lived such a miserable life."

After saying that, Auntie Iris led me out of the house.

I looked at the handprint on her face, feeling a mix of emotions. I didn't expect Auntie Iris to do this for me.

In my previous life, I thought it would be difficult to get rid of them, but unexpectedly, Auntie Iris appeared and she really helped me solve all the problems.

I bought disinfectant for her and applied it to her fingerprints.

She smiled and said, "This is the Moore family. They don't care about anything except their son. But ironically, your uncle also had a daughter, and he loves her so much."

Nina did receive preferential treatment.

She grew up well and came from a good family. So I didn't have a good time in middle school and high school because of her.
