My Twin Sister Made her Mate Believe that I was Her Chapter 1

In the heart of our bustling pack, Sunrise Crystal, my mate, Miguel Woods, and I have chosen to live a quiet and peaceful life. We reside in a modest yet cozy home, with just enough money and a stable income to meet our needs. It’s the life I’ve always dreamed of—simple, content, and full of love.

As I stand in the kitchen, the sweet aroma of Miguel’s favorite apple pie fills the air. I’m determined to make it just the way he likes, knowing how exhausting his days are as one of the pack’s warrior commanders. When he returns home, I want him to unwind and enjoy a moment of comfort.

A few minutes later, I hear a knock at the front door. Sensing it’s Miguel, I hurry over and open it. He greets me with a tight embrace and a soft kiss, his presence instantly lifting my spirits.

After helping him set down his things, I wash my hands and serve him the still-warm pie.

"Ahh, I’ve been craving this! Thanks, babe," He says with a grin, eagerly slicing into the pie and savoring the first bite.

We sit together, chatting about our day. According to him, it's his favorite way to rest. Then, unexpectedly, he kneels down in front of me and kisses my tummy. I smile, feeling the warmth of the moment.

“I can’t wait to see you, little angel,” Miguel whispered, gently caressing my tummy.

Yes, I’m three months pregnant with our first pup. Since the healers have advised that my pregnancy is a bit sensitive, Miguel insisted I stay home and take it easy. We’ve prayed for this baby for so long, and now that the Moon Goddess has blessed us, we’re determined to do everything to protect her.

“I can’t wait to meet her either. What should we name her, babe?” I asked softly.

Miguel sat beside me and took my hand. When he’s here, I hardly see the fierce warrior commander he is outside. At home, he’s tender, sweet—a side of him no one else gets to see.

“I want to name her Flora, after you—Floryn. I’m sure our pup will be as beautiful as you. With our guidance, she’ll grow into a kind and strong member of the pack, just like her mother. You and I, we’re going to be great parents,” He said, and I couldn’t help but smile.

But as his words settled in, they brought back a painful memory from my own childhood...

Growing up, I also had a happy family, with my mom, dad, and my twin sister, Carry. We lived in a beautiful home, filled with love and warmth. Carry and I were inseparable, as close as sisters could be. But everything changed when my dad started to become violent. He would hurt my mom, and sometimes even us. The abuse went on for a while, until my parents made the difficult decision to divorce. The separation was bitter—not only between them but for us, too.

One of us had to go with our father, while the other with our mother.

Neither Carry nor I wanted to go with our abusive father. We were terrified he would hurt us like he had before. In the end, Mom was able to take me, but Carry was left with no choice but to go with Dad. Mom had fought to keep us both, but without any evidence of the abuse, and because our father had legal rights, Carry was taken away.

The most painful part of it all was before we were separated, Carry looked at me with such bitterness. She told me how much she despised me, how she hated me for being Mom’s favorite. She felt trapped in what she believed would be a miserable life with our father and she has no one else to blame but me.

That was the last time I saw her—twenty years ago. Mom passed away five years ago, and our father died the year after. I had hoped those events would give Carry and me a chance to reconcile, but she never reached out. I tried so hard to find her but she's nowhere to be seen.

Despite that, I still hold on to the hope that one day, our paths will cross again and we can heal the wounds between us.

Miguel gave my hand a gentle pinch, pulling me from my thoughts. “You’re thinking about your twin sister again, aren’t you?”

I nodded. “Yes. I miss her so much. I wish she were here, witnessing these moments in our lives. And I want to know how her life has been too…”

“In time, everything will be okay,” He said, trying to comfort me. Just as his words lingered in the air, my phone buzzed with a text message from an unknown number.

It contained a time and an address, clearly for a wedding ceremony. My heart raced before I could even process the next message.

“This is Carry. I want to reconcile with you on my wedding ceremony, dear sister.”
