My Son Wants to Remarry His Cheating Ex-wife Chapter 1

I was reborn at the crucial moment before my son could remarry his unfaithful ex-wife.

Despite my best efforts to keep them apart, my son believed I was merely hindering his pursuit of happiness. Tragically, his ex-wife ran me over with her car, and he told the police that I had been kind-hearted and would surely forgive her. They settled the matter and proceeded to live happily together, spending the savings I had left behind.

Now, with a second chance at life, I decided to grant him the happiness he so desired.

But then, he returned to me in tears, confessing his deep regret.

"Mom, please, just let me be with Jessy. I know what really happened last time. If you agree to let us be together, I won't hold it against you for framing her and forcing us apart. Otherwise, I'll wreck everything in this house."

When I opened my eyes, I saw my son, Ethan Brooks, smashing the furniture and appliances, leaving chaos in his wake. He looked so sure of himself, convinced I would eventually give in to his demands.

A piece of glass nicked my foot, drawing blood, but Ethan didn't care. He continued his rampage, each crash accompanied by another threat.

I stared at the blood on my foot, confused. What was going on?

Wasn't I killed by Ethan's cruel ex-wife, Jessica Hale, in a car crash?

When the police investigated, he offered to settle privately.

How was I back home now?

Ethan's rage only grew as I stayed silent. His words became filthier, his smashing more frenzied.

The sound of shattering objects finally snapped me back to my senses.

I must have been given a second chance at life. Maybe the heavens saw the misery of my previous life and the injustice of my death and took pity on me.

This time, I wouldn't make the same mistakes.

I glanced at my son, the one I had spoiled and pampered his entire life. Whatever he wanted, I gave him, even things he hadn't thought to ask for.

As he grew up without a father, I felt I had to double my love to ensure he was happy and fulfilled.

But in the end, he conspired to kill me for a woman who didn't truly care about him.

The thought made my heart ache.

Right now, it was like the time I hid Ethan's ID to stop him from remarrying Jessica.

When he couldn't find it, he started smashing things, trying to force me to give in.

In my previous life, when I didn't relent even after he destroyed everything, he turned on me. He picked up a chair and hit me on the head, knocking me out.

Then he found his ID and remarried Jessica.

If not for a neighbor finding me, I would have died.

This time, I decided to let him have the happiness he thought he wanted.

I spoke coldly, "Shut up, Ethan. Let me ask you again. Even if Jessica really cheated on you and you've seen the proof, would you still want to be with her?"

Ethan panicked and yelled, "Jessy didn't cheat! You framed her. You're just a bitter, single old woman who can't stand to see me happy. You've always targeted her. She never stood a chance against you!"

Even though I knew my son was a lost cause, his venomous words still stung.

I cut him off. "Enough. Answer me this. Even if I cut all ties with you, would you still choose her?"

As he heard the possibility of severing ties, his face lit up with joy.

"I've wanted to get out from under your thumb for ages. You opposed our marriage, made our life together hell, and then framed her to force us apart. I wouldn't let Jessy live with you even if you didn't say anything. Let's just cut ties. I'd give up anything for her."
