My Mother-in-law is A Plastic Surgery Freak
Chapter 5
Melissa's nose bridge completely collapsed, and her nose wrinkled up like an old witch.
Along the way, the clothes on her chest were soaked with blood, and there was a strong smell of blood in the car.
Melissa pinched me hard and scolded me, "It's all your fault, you evil bitch. If it weren't for you, how could my nose be like this?"
I dodged her hand and shrugged. "I never touched your nose when I fed you. Everyone knows you spend a lot of money on a nose job."
Melissa got a nose job a while ago, and it cost over 100,000 dollars.
In fact, it was done in a small clinic without a business license, and substandard materials were used in the process.
But Melissa thought she had made a good deal and said she used some good connections and only spent over 100,000 dollars on it.
When we arrived at the hospital with Melissa, the first person to rush over was Thomas.
Melissa's cries gradually disappeared in the emergency room, and there was a deafening silence.
Evan turned around and glared at Thomas, who had killed him in his previous life but now couldn't be brought to justice.
I pulled Evan behind me, afraid that he would act impulsively.
Thomas obviously didn't notice anything unusual about Evan and was staring up at the emergency light.
He kept muttering, "You're a bad son and you're an evil daughter-in-law. You must mistreat Melissa."
Evan was itching to punch Thomas' face, his eyes bloodshot.
I looked at Thomas with interest and said, "Thomas, since you care so much about Melissa, why don't you just marry her and stop us from mistreating her?"
Thomas' face changed. He didn't respond to my words.
Of course, he wouldn't marry Melissa. After all, he got a bedridden wife at home.
When Melissa was wheeled out of the emergency room, the wound on her nose had been treated.
Thomas stayed by her side, taking care of her as if she were his wife.
Instead of looking at Thomas, Melissa stared at me fiercely and said, "You heartless bitch! Just wait and see. I'll get you back for what you've done when I'm better!"
I smiled and pretended to be surprised, saying, "Melissa, Richard upstairs said he wants to come and see you. Should I let him come?"
Hearing that, Melissa instantly stopped cursing.
Thomas turned to look at me, with a puzzled look on his face. "Who is Richard?"
I didn't answer but stared at Melissa with great interest. "Thomas is asking you a question."
Melissa's tone instantly softened and a smile graced her lips. "Rebecca, it's something minor. Tell the neighbors, do not bother to come and see me."
She turned to look at Thomas with a smile. "Thomas, that's just a neighbor upstairs, and he has a good relationship with Rebecca."
Melissa distanced herself from the matter and even winked at me, signaling to me that I should not call her bluff.
I walked slowly towards Melissa and leaned close to her ear. "Didn't you ask me to help you find the money you saved? It will cost a lot of money to fix your nose. Tell me where the money is."
I raised an eyebrow at Melissa, with a glint of threat in my eyes.
Afraid of being exposed as a liar, Melissa had no choice but to reluctantly tell me where she hid the money.
That money was left to Evan by his father before he passed away, but it was hidden by Melissa for many years.
"In the red wooden box at the back of my wardrobe!"
Melissa gritted her teeth and brought her swollen face close to me.
There was a look of pure venom in her eyes. "You despicable bitch, you deserve to die!"
I smiled and said, "Melissa, just stay in bed. I will bring you the money that belongs to you."
I wouldn't give her a single penny of the money that never belonged to her!
