Chapter 7

Jumping off the window after I was just recovered, injured my legs even more.

For a moment, I could not feel my legs below my torsal. I groaned in pain, wanting someone to carry me.

But, I knew no one was coming to rescue me. I could not stop either. Those criminals would not stop for too long. I had to rush up.

As I ran with a limp, my gaze fell on Noah standing not far from me. They had stood by their car. What shocked me was Dylan and Denver were also there. They seemed to talk something serious.

Their voice abruptly echoed through my ears.

"You went too far by pushing Isadora off the cliff." Denver had said. "What if she died?"

"I wish she was!" Noah's response was chilling. But, it did not hurt me anymore. I had stopped feeling anything by now.

"She is indeed very lucky and the Alpha blood is top strong in her. Her wolf... Did you see how big it grew just to save her?" Dylan added, stunned.

"At that moment we realised she was not going to die. So, we walked forward to help her or else we all would be doomed by now."

So, they only helped me because they knew I wasn't dying any soon.

A smile of redicule spread through my lips. But, I wasn't hurt.

"Don't do that again." Denver said, looking at Noah. "Or we can be in trouble. After all, she is Alpha's daughter and the crowned Princess of the Kingdom."

"I know I went overboard this time." Noah continued, his hands clenching into fists"But, she shouldn't have laid her hands on Emily. I won't tolerate that."

"We will not tolerate this either. This is why we released the rapists from the prison and directed them at her ward." Denver said, a cold mirthless smile spreading on his lips.

"By now, she would be humiliated by dozen times." Dylan added with a smile of satisfactory.

"This is for calling Emily a Wrench!" He added.

I had thought that nothing could hurt me anymore. But watching my twin mates, who always appeared soft and unharmful to me, doing the cruelest thing to me, shattered my heart.

I had never expected that Noah would try to kill me. Dylan and Denver sending goons to rape me was even unexpectable.

But, they did!

They crossed all the boundary. They shamed our friendship! They shamed the little humanity they had!

That's enough.

I was not going to tolerate them anymore.

On my Birthday Eve, the banquet hall was magnificent, with crystal chandeliers reflecting a brilliant light, but the brilliance was a lie.

I entered in a vibrant red dress, the color of a heart on fire, with golden earrings that felt like a crown. The dress's skirt fluttered behind me like flames, captivating everyone.

Dylan and Denver, my supposed twin mates, immediately chased after me. "Isadora," Denver's gaze was fiery, his voice a deep rumble. "You're so beautiful today I can't look away."

"That dress suits you very well," Dylan added with a gentle smile, though his eyes held a possessive glint.

"I'm so nervous. Whom are you going to choose today?" Denver asked, his words a desperate plea.

"Don't choose Noah, Isadora. You know he doesn't like you." Dylan’s voice was a low warning. "Choose from us. We will always keep you happy."

I was about to speak, to tell them their desperate pleas were pathetic, but an eerie silence fell over the hall. My heart, which had been beating with the wild exhilaration of the night, suddenly felt cold. I turned my head to look—

Noah walked in slowly, holding Emily's arm. Her dress was an exact replica of mine, but it was more beautiful and elegant. In front of her dress, my dress looked like a fake version of Emily's masterpiece.

I remember a month ago, My mother had interested Noah to attend an auction to buy this dress designed by the renowned designer of our kingdom. It was said it was only one of the kind in the world.

It turned out Noah had given the original gown to Emily and had someone to create a duplicate version of it, just to fool me.

The crowd gasped in disgust with everyone whispering and snickering about them.

"How can an orphan Omega has the original version of the dress while our princess a duplicate?"

"Our beta is recently spending times with this lowly Omega! Perhaps, she made her ways to the expensive things by seducing our Princess's mate."

"She should be ashamed of her behaviour! It was Princess Isadora who saved her life when she was shivering in cold. How can she snatch her mate and ruin her mating ceremony?"

Emily's face turned pale. She hadn't expected that the crowd would be so loud in accusing her.

Noah walked directly to me, his eyes fury red as he accused me. "You are spreading false rumours about Emily just to defame her in public, aren't you?"

"What?" I chuckled.

They have been so fearless in showing their affection in public and he had the audacity of accusing me of spreading rumours about them?

I couldn't help laughing at his humour. But, what I didn't expect was a tight slap from Noah, landing at my cheeks in front of everyone.

"What's there to laugh?" He groaned, "Apologize to Emily right now!"

I glared him, shocked and so was everyone. Meanwhile, Emily was smiling, standing behind Noah.

"Apologize to her?" I chewed my lower lips, "Just dream on!"

Dylan and Denver rushed to my side. Their voice gentle and sounding as if they were concerned for me. But, their words only sent chills down my spine as they said,

"Just apologise to Emily and be done with it, Isadora!"

"Yes, people are watching and it's humiliating for you."

"I'm telling you one last time, Isadora!" Noah groaned in anger, "Clear Emily's name before everyone, accept that you have been defaming Emily out of jealousy and apologize her publically or else-"

"Or else?" I narrowed my eyes.

"I won't mate with you!"

Noah's words felt like a joke. I couldn't help laughing in sarcasm before I finally said, my voice cold and distant. "And what made you think that I'm choosing you to mate with?"

He laughed. "Who else are you going to choose then? You have chased me for fifteen years. I know how desperately you want me, Isadora."

"Just clear Emily's her name and apologise and I'm all yours, Isadora."

Just then Elder Magus walked up to me. "Princess Isadora, time is running off. Who will you choose as your mate today?"

I took a deep breath, "Please wait."

The twins frowned: "Isadora, who are you still waiting for?"

Just then—

Bang!

The doors of the banquet hall were pushed open.

My Mom, the Alpha of the pack walked in, and behind her was a tall and strong man, disciplined and impactful.

He was back.

He was finally back.

Tears were formed in my eyes, blurring my vision. I just walked toward him without hesitation, my voice choked but firm: "I choose him! Tylar Beckham, my mate!"
