Chapter 5

"You are a princess. You can have whatever you want. I'm just an omega. How can I snatch things from you?" Emily said, her eyes red as she raised the flowers towards me. "I dare not lay my hands over things that you like."

I sneered at her reticulous acting of appearing innocent and bullied. But, the flower was more important. So, I reached out to hold the flower in my hand.

But, before I could grab it, Nolan took it from Emily's hands.

"Is this flower that important to you?" He narrowed his eyes before he walked up to the cliff. I frowned as he held the flower mid-air.

"Kneel!" He commanded, "Kneel before Emily and apologize for what you said to her."

I clenched my fists angrily.

"Stop this nonsense, Noah. I said I'll give anything for this flower. Just name it." I yelled.

"Just do as I say or I'm going to crush the flower in my hands and blow it away." He spat.

My eyes widened in terror as I saw his grip tightening over the flower.

"No wait..." I screamed, "I'll do it!"

With that I suppressed the rage and hurt in my eyes as I knelt before Emily. Looking up into her eyes, I said, "I'm sorry, Emily. I shouldn't have called you a Wrench!"

I shouldn't have call you by what you really are!

Emily didn't look satisfied. My words humiliated her even more. She quickly added, covering her anger and jealousy with the mask of a faint smile.

"Even if Princess Isadora is apologizing, it looks like she is threatening me. Alpha blood is really unshakeable." She said jokingly which caused Noah to kick me harshly.

My nose hit a stone and began bleeding. He didn't care at all. He just spat, "Beg her! Beg her to forgive you."

I glared Noah with a pair of blood shot eyes but the flower in his hand kept me still. I lowered my head, kowtow Emily and said, "I beg you! I beg you! Please give me the flower. I'll do anything for you. Just give that flower to me."

"You will do anything?" Suddenly she spoke, her voice laced with maliciousness and eyes greedy.

"If that's true, then on your mating ceremony, don't choose Beta Noah! I want him. Can you do that for the flower?" She asked, finally letting her mask off.

I smiled in sarcasm. "Even if there wasn't a flower, I wasn't going to choose him. He is all yours."

Noah's face twisted. He looked at me with a pair of cold eyes. "Do you think I believe that?"

I said nothing. Just looked at Emily and asked, "Can I take that flower now?"

"Of course," she said, satisfied with my answer.

She raised her hands to grab the flower from Noah's hands who was still staring at me in disbelief.

I took a sigh of relief as the flower was finally coming to me. But, suddenly the flower slipped through Emily's hands and fell off the cliff.

"Oops! It just slipped away." She said, her voice casual, not surprised at all.

"You, Bitch!" I cursed, "You did it purposely."

Since the flower was gone, I wasn't going to hold myself back.

#Bang#

I slapped her right away!

The slap was so hard that she fell off the grassland, staring at me in a shock.

But, what I didn't expect was that Noah's response could be so crucial.

He didn't think twice before he walked closer to me. Grabbing my hands tightly, he pushed me off the cliff.

I watched him in terror as I saw him smiling while I was falling.

I was falling off the cliff, so high that even my bones would be crushed. Yet, Noah was smiling watching me fall.

A searing pain shot through my arm as I fell. The sudden jolt of adrenaline was quickly replaced by a horrifying realization: this was it. I was falling to my death, and the man I once thought I loved was watching me with a twisted, joyful smile.

My last sight of him wasn't one of regret or panic, but of pure, unadulterated pleasure.

The wind roared in my ears, whipping my hair across my face. The ground below, a mosaic of jagged rocks, rushed up to meet me.

My mind raced, not with thoughts of a life flashing before my eyes, but with a single, burning question: why? Why did he do this?

For Emily? A woman who was so transparently a snake, yet he was utterly blind to it? The thought of his betrayal, of how easily he cast me aside, hurt more than the certain fate that awaited me.

Then, just as I was about to hit the ground, a blur of silver fur and a powerful, muscled body slammed into me. I felt the impact, a jarring force that knocked the wind from my lungs.

But instead of the final, bone-crushing blow I expected, the fall slowed. I was no longer plummeting, but being carried.
