I took a deep breath and swallowed all the past grievances.

"How can you call helping her a stupid thing? If she knows you think like this, she might not call you next time."

"Divorce is for your own good, so that you don't have to suffer so much for me. It's better for me not to be your wife."

Since I was willing to endure hardships with him, I am not someone who sought wealth and status. If he truly found his superior difficult to work with, he could simply resign and not work there anymore.

After he left, I tidied myself up and went to the company.

"Jane, why did I hear from HR that you are going to resign?"

Yesterday I found out that I was pregnant using a pregnancy test. Thinking that I had won fifty million, I confidently submitted my resignation letter to my employer.

David immediately breathed a sigh of relief.

"I thought it was that project that scared you away. It's okay if you don't want to challenge the difficulty. There are also many new projects that suit you."

David was my senior, and he had always been grooming me for higher positions. But I resigned to become Shaw's wife.

"I want to try the project in France."

David immediately stopped and looked at me with joy.

"Jane, are you serious?"

I nodded.

"Can your partner agree to it?"

I knew that my previous thoughts of being a housewife have caused David a lot of headaches.

But he also respected my choice and did not interfere too much.

"My career is more important. Besides, I'm planning to get a divorce."
