Chapter 2

IRIS LOU P.O.V.

"If your good son doesn't pay for this, I'll drop you both on the mansion's stairs when we come home,"

"I love you. Why would I be involved in Eliot's bad behavior? Don't forget that he's our son, not just my son, okay." I overheard Aunt Agnes and Uncle Rex arguing.

The white ceiling became visible to me as I gradually opened my eyes. I shifted my focus and noticed my aunt and uncle on a sofa when I turned to face the direction where they were.

I sat down and rested my head on the hospital bed's headboard after Auntie shouted, "Oh my God, you're awake!" and hurriedly approached me.

I asked haltingly, "Auntie, where's My honey?"

She smiled at me and said, "Ahm..... ah..eh, don't think about it first, my daughter. Maybe he will come too." The earlier events in the Church seemed to be a catastrophe—my life's most significant day.

Auntie told me to stop crying and wiped the tears from my eyes. I could not stop the tears from falling from my eyes.

"What did the doctor say, aunt?" I inquire of my aunt.

"Maybe the doctor won't say anything for a while." I exhaled a sigh of relief, thinking, That I was carrying their grandson was something I didn't want them to know. This was meant to be my wedding-related surprise for him, but it appears that I was the one who was surprised.

"I can take care of myself, Auntie, so go home. I'll wait for Eliot to come to me." I softly said.

"Are you sure?" She asked. I smiled and nodded at her as well as at uncle Rex, who was sitting on the sofa with a scowl on his face and appeared to be lamenting his son's sin.

"Iris, if you need anything, just give me a call! You too, Rex! Go home with me. Your son is to blame. "Auntie said while pulling Uncle Rex's ears out. I couldn't help but smile at their immaturity.

I realized that returning to my former life was definitely a good idea at this point. I'm not a coward. I took out the dextrose from my hand and experienced no pain. I'm used to it now. I got up and took off the hospital gown when I noticed a paper bag on the couch. When I looked inside, I found a shirt, some pants, and some shoes, so I put them on. I took my phone from the bedside table and placed a call to the personnel I trusted once I was certain that everything was in order.

"Dexter, Ready. The private aircraft where heading back to Greece. Wait for me at the airport. I'll be there in a minute." I abruptly cut off the call without waiting for him to start speaking and shouted. I went outside and had a look around. Everyone appeared to be busy and seemed to be unaware of me. I left and proceeded to walk normally. I awaited a taxi after leaving the hospital. As soon as I saw a taxi stop in front of me, I wasted no time boarding it. I didn't pay attention when Eliot's car passed us as the taxi rolled out. Although it appeared that he would visit me in the hospital, it is now too late for him to do so.

He betrayed me and chose that other woman over me, which I can't tolerate. The lies he says are not something I want to hear. He can never come back to me again after leaving the Church, as I pledged before in the Church itself. Even in the face of god and his parents, in addition to a large crowd, he managed to yell at me even if the family I envisioned was not entirely full.

I am able to be both the father and the mother of the child I am carrying. The taxi came to a stop outside the airport. I thus paid before relocating and approached Dexter, who appeared to be waiting for me.

"What transpired to cause your unexpected return to Greece? Are you willing to return home and endure your father's wrath?" Dexter said as we made our way to the private airplane that I had requested him to have to wait for me.

"Keep in mind that you cannot avoid the duty you previously dodged when you return to Greece." He added.

"I just escaped before since I really didn't want to tell dad about the cycle of my World, but I'm always prepared for anything, Dexter. You know, when I was in my father's place, he always set the rules, so I couldn't do what I wanted," I remarked icily.

"I am aware of that, but I am certain that when he learns that you are married and expecting a child, he will be upset."

"I didn't get married since I didn't sign a marriage contract, and in regards to my pregnancy, he is powerless because, by the time my father learns that I am pregnant and does something I don't like, I have no choice but to kill him. I became his child because he is a demon, and now I bear his blood." I told him. I stepped inside the private plane once we boarded it, sat down, and then I closed my eyes while lying back in the chair. I felt Dexter sitting across from me.

"Rest for a while; I'll just wake you up when we get to Greece; I know you're exhausted; don't stress any longer," I heard Rex say, but I didn't open my eyes. Instead, I took a big breath, answered all the questions in my head, and then dragged for the darkness.

FAST FORWARD

I was abruptly tapped, and only Dexter was there when I opened my eyes.

"Where already here? Prepare for meeting your evil father." He remarked with a smirk. I stood up and went to the open door of the aircraft. As I exited, I noticed a car lurking below, and it appeared to be the one that would take me to the palace. The royal guards hailed me as I walked towards them.

"Welcome Back, Royal Princess Iris," They both said at the same time as I entered the car, which was open. I then gave the driver the go-ahead by signaling for the car to begin moving, and I was aware that the two cars that followed were packed with bodyguards.

Dexter, on the other hand, left because he was unable to accompany me to the palace. I noticed the servants at the palace waiting at the door when we got there, appearing to be getting ready for my return. When I descended, I made my way to the enormous palace entryway.

The royal guard yelled as I entered, "Princess Iris, the royal princess of Greece, has returned."

They all said hello to me, but since this was as it ought to be, they didn't hear a single hello back from me. I'm not allowed to be kind since some people are Greece's enemies.

I simply feel cold as I move around the enormous palace. Unexpectedly, a servant came over to me.

"Royal Princess, King Henry is waiting for you at his office." She informed me. I simply nodded and began to follow her up the very steep stairs covered in crimson carpet till I was directly in front of my father's office door.
