Chapter 4

My mother-in-law finally stopped pulling me. My body already felt weak, and my face had probably turned pale.

"Hurry up and tell my son the truth about your womb!" My mother-in-law demanded, pressing het against my mouth.

"I Won't! That piece of paper isn't mine!" I protested.

"Mom, what's going on? Why are you dragging Gisella like this?" asked Dylan, looking confused.

My mother-in-law gave the torn paper to my husband. Dylan's surprised face scared me.

"You fool! So you've been barren all this time? You lied to m!" Dylan spat, slapping my right cheek.

"I'm not barren, I'm healthy. Don't you accompany me every month for checkups? I wouldn't lie about something that important, Dylan," I replied.

"Enough, Dylan! If you stay with Gisella, you’ll never have kids anyway. You might as well marry Alexa. Gisella will die soon anyway," my mother-in-law sneered, making my heart pound.

"Mom, watch your mouth!" I snapped.

Dylan shot me a cold glare before grabbing my hair and dragging me to the barn.

I tried to rebel when Dylan wanted to tie my legs together. But I was defeated, I couldn't do anything.

"Dylan, please let me go!" I begged, hugging his legs. But Dylan kicked me in the face instead.

I winced in pain as both my eyes were hit by Dylan's kicks.

"Feel it, this is your punishment!" Dylan said and left me.

I cried, feeling the pain in my eyes. Dylan had been ignorant, but he had never been rude to me. But now everything had changed.

In this house no one treats me like a human being.

My body couldn't take it anymore. My throat was thirsty because I had been screaming for help.

Until at night the cellar door finally opened. Alexa came and stood smiling while carrying food for me.

"Alexa, please help let me go!" I cried and begged.

But Alexa only laughed. She grabbed my hair and yanked it back. "I’ll let you go... but first, you have to kiss my feet," she chuckled.

"You're crazy! I'm not willing to go that low. I'd rather die here!" I yelled, but Alexa stuffed my mouth with the food she brought.

"How does this stale food taste? This food is perfect for trash like you. You have to finish it, Gisella!" Alexa said, startling me.

I rebelled and refused the food. Eventually, all the food spilled out.

I felt nauseous looking at the scattered food. I suddenly threw up and hit Alexa's clothes.

"Gisella, did you do it on purpose?" asked Alexa irritably, pulling on my collar.

I shook my head, but I was surprised when Alexa pulled my face to smell the vomit.

"Taste that disgusting stuff!" said Alexa.

I cried after getting her treatment. However, I was surprised again when Alexa splashed hot water on my face.

"No need to be sad anymore, I helped clean it up," Alexa replied with a chuckle.

Before she left me, Alexa stepped on my shackled foot.

I screamed, my bones cracking.

"Dylan and I are getting engaged tomorrow, as a good fiancé, I ask your permission," Alexa said.

"Why my husband? Why are you doing all this to me?" I asked tearfully.

Alexa came closer, looking at me sharply. "Because I want to ruin your life. Like your mother ruined mine."

"What do you mean?" I asked, but he just smiled and walked away, leaving me in confusion.

I couldn't stay still. Despite my weakness, I had to act.

With a broken plate, I cut the rope in my hand. Then, I crawled to the saw that was lying nearby. I gritted my teeth, sawing through the restraints on my legs until I was finally free.

Just as I was about to escape through the window, a pile of documents suddenly tumbled onto me. I blinked, my eyes landing on one particular sheet.

"This is Dylan's agreement with me," I said.

A satisfied smile appeared on my lips. With this document, it was Dylan who would be destroyed!
