After falling pregnant, a woman's life turns into a nightmare when her brother-in-law, Reese Flynn, incurs a million-dollar gambling debt. After I got pregnant, Reese Flynn, my husband's younger brother, racked up a million dollars in gambling debts to loan sharks.

My mother-in-law, Kaylee Larsen, set her sights on my parent's house, pressuring me to sell it and pay off Reese's debt.

I refused. "That's the last thing my parents left me."

My in-laws and Reese charged at me, hitting and kicking me.

Lizeth Flynn, my sister-in-law, stood there with her hands on her hips, threatening, "You're the only one left in your family. If you dare defy us, we'll kill you!"

Meanwhile, my husband Cedric Flynn mocked me from the side, "If you don't help my brother, then you don't see us as family."

I laughed, "Alright, go ahead and take the house if you've got the nerve to."

I was two months pregnant, and today my stomach was feeling off. I was just about to ask my boss for some time off to go to the hospital.

Then my husband called.

"Violet, my brother's in trouble. Come home right away."

I frowned, asking, "What happened? Honey, my stomach feels tight and uncomfortable. Could you come with me to the hospital first?"

On the phone, my husband replied impatiently, "It's a minor issue. No need to check it out. My brother's situation is serious. I'll come pick you up now. Just wait for me downstairs your company."

Then he hung up.

I pushed through the discomfort and went home with my husband.
