Chapter 3

As long as Zack wasn’t at the confinement center,he would send me text messages and location updates every few hours, reporting his whereabouts.

His subordinates at the company often joked that Mr.Orgeta spoiled his wife to an extreme, calling him a 100%good man.

This"100%good man"who appeared flawless in the eyes of the world, had just spent the morning in bed with my best friend and by evening,he had returned with a completely different demeanor, trying to win my favor.

Zack specially ordered a large bouquet of red roses for me,along with an expensive diamond necklace. He also bought milk tea and snacks, sharing them with the caregivers and the confinement nanny taking care of me.

Every time something was handed to someone,Zack would smile and ask them to take good care of me.

"Darling, you’ve worked hard with the pregnancy and childbirth.I will teach our baby well and when they grow up,they’ll be filial to you."Zack gently held our son in his arms, his face full of tenderness and affection, looking every bit the picture of a loving father.

Before today,I had believed that my husband’s affection was a genuine expression of love,a true reflection of the bond between us.

But it wasn’t until this moment that I realized it was a trap carefully orchestrated by the scoundrel and his mistress, who had long been plotting to take everything from me.

I came from a wealthy family. My parents were in business and they owned several self-built houses that had been included in the demolition area.In just ten days,we would receive compensation from the developers.

However,Zack was nothing but a typical"wicked man."

He was a poor college student who came from a mountain village and during his time in school,it was I who provided him with his living expenses.

To avoid being looked down upon by my family, after graduation,I secretly used all of my savings to start a business.

In the early stages of the venture,I was hands-on with everything.

I traveled alone to the Ocalan area, carefully selecting the best hot pot base suppliers.

Using my network,I secured the best shop locations at low prices and partnered with internet influencers for extensive promotion and traffic generation.

I personally trained employees, supervised the cleanliness of the store and ensured the quality of all ingredients and seasonings.

Step by step, the once obscure hot pot shop developed into a nationally recognized chain restaurant and the company was about to enter its IPO stage.

After achieving success,I gave all the credit to Zack, quietly becoming the woman behind him, focusing solely on preparing for pregnancy and childbirth.

Unbeknownst to me,my deep love and self-sacrifice ultimately became the stepping stone for the scumbag and his mistress to plot my downfall.

The hatred in my heart had reached a boiling point, ready to erupt at any moment.

Several times,I wanted to confront Zack and ask him why,my hand already reaching for the scissors I had secretly taken from the caregiver, gripping it tightly.

But I couldn’t do it.

Murder would cost my life and I couldn’t ruin my future over a scumbag.

"Honey, the doctor said it's best not to take a bath during the confinement period.Let me help you wipe your body and wash your feet,"Zack said as he walked over with a basin of water, gently lifting me from the bed and placing me on the sofa.

He carefully wiped my body, cleaned the lochia and finally washed my feet, all the while with a smile on his face.

The nurse who was helping care for me often sighed and remarked that I had married an exceptionally good man.

Most men wouldn't be able to handle something like helping their wife, but he did it with ease and care.

I thought back to the scene I had witnessed on the rooftop earlier that morning, where the two were entangled and the provocative video that Wendy had sent me.A wave of disgust surged up my throat and I felt a strong urge to personally cut off this bastard's manhood.

But I had to calm down.Impulsiveness wouldn’t solve anything.

“Honey, was the meeting very busy this morning?”I took a deep breath, forcing myself to suppress the negative emotions as I asked.
