My best friend, James Swift, went back to the day he was supposed to reconcile with his extremely wealthy birth parents.

He was unwilling to be a puppet controlled by the rich, so he was unwilling to return to his birth parents.

Hence, he asked me to be his replacement without any hesitation.

I looked at his mother, who was wearing a lot of diamond rings, and his father, who was dressed in old-money clothes.

When Mary Swift hugged me, I felt the cold surfaces of her jewelry, which was worth millions of dollars, pressing against my skin.

Mary took out a bank card from her bag. “You must have had a tough life all these years. Here is ten million dollars. If you don’t spend it all, we won’t let you come home.”

Adam Swift took out a stack of transfer agreements. “These mansions and cars belong to you. You can do whatever you want in the future. I have enough money to take care of you.”

I took the gifts delightedly as I secretly counted the amount of money.

[Hey, did you see that Adam and Mary don’t even want him to work? They favor the fake son and want to leave all their resources to him.]

He took off his Rolex out of guilt and put it on my wrist.
