Chapter 1

All I wanted before dying was a wedding in my dream.

Just as I was about to step into the wedding hall, my dead sister, Hazel Sullivan, showed up with my beloved family members and ruined my last wish!

She splashed the red wine on my face and declared loudly, "Leah Sullivan, you almost killed me. A vicious bitch like you doesn't deserve any happiness!"

Everyone else simply believed her one-sided words.

They insulted me as a murderer while beating and kicking me.

Even a stray dog could bully me at that moment.

I was abandoned by the whole world once again...

The last word I heard from them before I was dead was, "Never show up again and confess your sins!"

Hearing that, I stopped being so obedient to whatever they said for the first time in my life.

I looked at Hazel, who had come back to life, in astonishment and was completely puzzled by her words.

"I didn't..."

Before I could finish defending myself, my fiance, Oscar Wilson, threw away the wedding ring and slapped me hard.

"You're the one who killed Hazel? I was always wondering why she fell into the sea all of a sudden! It's all your fault!" he shouted at me.

The venue decorated by myself perfectly fit my dream wedding.

However, Oscar's behavior made me in a daze for a long time.

He called her so intimately.

I finally figured out that my sister was his dream lover!

My parents and my brother, Clark Sullivan, surrounded me and each took turns questioning me.

"Hazel is your sister. Why did you push her into the sea?"

"You dared to kill even your own sister for a man? Are you crazy?"

"Go to hell, you sneak!"

I shook my head desperately to deny their accusations, "No, I didn't..."

However, my parents just answered me with a slap on my face.

As long as Hazel appeared, no one would believe me.

No. Actually, they never believed me.

I endured the burning pain and got down to the ground to pick up the pair of carefully selected rings.

It was so close.

I was so close to becoming Oscar's wife.

However, he stepped on the back of my hand. "Bitch! Answer my question!"

The man who was hugging me and treated me as his one and only yesterday now glared at me and wished he could cut me into pieces.

I raised my eyes and asked him earnestly, "Can we complete the ceremony?"

I knew I was going to die, and it was quite reasonable for me to finish the wedding with the man in my dream.

I couldn't become his legal wife, anyway. As long as we could swap the rings, my last wish would be accomplished.

"You don't deserve to be my wife. The person I love has always been Hazel, not you! You're just her substitute!"

The words that came out of his mouth were like ice, making me feel a penetrating chill all over my body.

For such a long time, I had no idea the person he loved most was my sister.

Now, the only one who loved me after my grandmother, Maggie Stewart, passed away turned out to just fool me.

Oscar just treated me as a substitute for Hazel.

He clearly knew that I was dying and that I would quietly leave him and wait for my end after finishing the ceremony.

However, even though I had been the substitute for his most beloved woman for a year, he still refused to show me even the slightest trace of mercy.

Skipping any further verification, everyone had already firmly believed that I was the murderer.

If I was truly guilty, the law would punish me.

But my family and lover did that themselves.

"Leah, stop pestering Oscar. If it weren't for your face, do you think he would agree to be with you at the first place?"

My mother, Alice Morgan, revealed the poignant truth.

She was right.

Hazel and I were twins.

No one would pay attention to me without my similar face to hers.

When she was swept into the sea, I actually felt a little relieved and happy beside the sorrow for my sister's missing.

I thought my parents and Clark would transfer their love for her to me.

But I was terribly wrong.

In the past year, they seldom called my name and just treated me as a substitute for Hazel.

They tried to overlap me with her.

But no matter how hard I tried to pretend to be Hazel, we were bound to be totally different people in the core.

I accepted my fate.

When Hazel was alive, I couldn't compete with her for everything.

There's certainly no way I could win her ghost after being beautified over and over again in my family's mind.

When the doctor told me I could only live one more month, I actually became inexplicably excited.

I wondered if my death would ring them a bell to remember there was a girl called Leah.

"Mom, forget it. She is my sister after all, and I have survived. I came here today just because I didn't want Oscar to be deceived anymore!"

Hazel's words attracted everyone's attention.

At the same time, everyone began to imagine her miserable hardship for a year.

My parents couldn't help but sob at the sight of her skinny appearance.

Clark and Oscar also turned their faces away and wiped their tears.

I knew my wedding couldn't go on.

And it's time for me to leave.

I tried hard to pull my hand away from Oscar's foot. But because of Hazel's words, he kept crushing my hand in anger.

He didn't lift his foot until my entire hand was bleeding.

"You think you can escape so easily after doing all those things to Hazel?"
