My Boyfriend Sold Me Off to Save His First Love Chapter 1

As the year drew to a close, my boyfriend, Dave Morgan, who was also my manager, told me he had finally found his long-lost first love.

I urged him not to act impulsively.

But instead of rushing to rescue her, he secured an acting job for me in Moscow.

What I didn’t expect was that the moment I got off the plane, a group of people took me away.

They locked us up, handing my boyfriend a sum of money while giving us a brief introduction to their "business"—fraud.

I noticed the character "Volkov" in their clothes.

Wasn’t that the symbol of my father’s scam syndicate?

At five years old, I had barely managed to escape from his grasp. And now, I was being sent right back?

As soon as we got out of the car, they separated us into different rooms.

A few girls huddled in a corner, trembling and sobbing silently.

But my attention was fixed on the tall guard’s uniform, which bore the Moscow script for "Volkov."

Wasn’t this my father Theodore’s organization?

Years ago, my mother had come to Moscow to film. She supported my father financially when he had nothing.

Later, when I was five, my mother returned to our home country, taking me with her.

I immediately stood up and shouted at the tall guard, "Let me out! I’m Theodore’s daughter—I’m Tiana Volkov!"

The guard glared at me and angrily smacked the bars with his baton.

"Shut up! You wanna die?"

I rushed forward, grabbing his sleeve and yanking a gold ornament from my hair tie. "Brother, please, have some mercy. You call your boss ‘Chairman,’ right?"

He took the gold, biting it down a few times to check its authenticity.

Half-convinced, he turned to speak with a shorter guard.

Hearing their conversation, I finally let out a breath of relief.

They soon walked toward me and unlocked the door.

I was led into an empty room, still naïvely asking, "So? Were you able to contact your boss?"

To my horror, they only began unbuckling their belts.

"If you still have gold, that means we didn’t search you thoroughly enough."

"Let go of me!" I shrieked.

I never imagined these scumbags would be so untrustworthy—taking my gold and still going back on their word.

Kicking and thrashing, I screamed, "Capturing me is useless! I’m a citizen of Moscow!"

The two men froze for a moment but quickly sneered.

"So what if you have dual citizenship? This place isn’t Moscow anymore. Even if you want to go home, you never will."

What? This wasn’t Moscow?

I was stunned. I hadn’t realized my father’s operations had already expanded into another country.

Before I could react, the short guard shoved a sock into my mouth.

"Enough! This woman talks too much. Hold her down—I’ll go first!"

"What do you mean you go first? I should go first!"

Just as they were bickering, a deep, commanding voice rang out.

"Hey! What are you two doing over there?"

The two guards immediately stiffened and hurriedly stepped outside to bow in greeting.

"Mikhail, this female prisoner was hiding things in her. We were just teaching her a lesson."

The moment I heard the name "Mikhail," tears welled up in my eyes.

He was my childhood playmate—the boy my father had adopted.

I struggled to call out to him, but all I could manage were muffled sobs.

Mikhail’s voice sounded exhausted. "One person is enough to search her. Are you both slacking off from your duties?"

"Y-yes..." The short guard immediately retreated back into the cell.
