My Alpha Publicly Replaced Me With His Luna Novel Cover

My Alpha Publicly Replaced Me With His Luna

The night Greyson swore to claim her, the mate bond froze solid. At the banquet hall doors, she clutched his cheap leather cord as his emotions vanished behind gray stone—then jasmine and vanilla hit her senses. Sutton Gray stood on the dais beside him, wearing his cedar scent. In one devastating heartbeat, every promise of their future collapsed into ash, leaving only betrayal's sharp, obsessive ache.

Chapter 3

The fire didn’t burn. It exploded.

My spine arched off the cold dirt. A sound tore out of my throat—not a scream, but a deep, guttural crack that shattered the silence of the clearing.

Every bone in my body broke at once. They lengthened, snapping and re-knitting in a violent, blinding rush. Silver-white fur ripped through my skin like fresh snow over frozen earth. It wasn't the slow, agonizing crawl of an ordinary shift. It was an eruption.

Twenty years of suppressed bloodline came roaring to the surface in a single heartbeat.

I pushed up from the ground. The dirt gave way under paws as wide as dinner plates. My shoulders expanded, rising and rising until the torchlight seemed to drop below me. I wasn't just bigger than Sutton's sleek gray Gamma form. I was twice her size. I towered over every Alpha, Beta, and warrior standing in the ring.

A pale luminescence shimmered across my coat, glowing like raw starlight.

Then came the weight.

My aura didn't just spread—it slammed into the clearing like an iron wall. It was ancient, heavy, and suffocating.

The Deltas on the perimeter dropped first. Their knees hit the dirt with dull, wet thuds, heads bowing toward the ground before their minds could even register what was happening. Beside them, the Gammas folded, clawing at their throats as if the air had turned to lead.

Marcus Hale, who had spent six years spitting on my chores and laughing at my empty wrists, staggered forward. A strangled, choking sound tore from his throat. His legs gave out completely. He crashed face-first into the mud, his body trembling in pure, involuntary submission.

On the platform, Greyson fought.

His dark eyes were wild with shock. His Alpha aura flared, black and sharp, snarling back against the pressure. Veins bulged along his neck. He bared his fangs, fighting to remain upright, to prove he was the master of this territory.

*Bow,* my wolf snarled, not in words, but in the raw, ancient pulse of our blood.

The command shattered his resistance like cheap glass. Greyson let out a ragged gasp. His knees buckled under him, slamming hard against the wood of the dais. He tried to push himself back up, his hands shaking violently against the floorboards, but the biological weight pinned him there. He couldn't rise. An Alpha of a major pack, forced to his knees by a creature he had called wolfless two minutes ago.

The scent hit next.

It poured from my fur, washing away the cloying stink of jasmine and vanilla, sweeping away Greyson’s cedar. It was vast, sharp, and clean: fresh white cedar and pure winter moonlight, cold enough to bite the back of the throat.

Across the torchlit clearing, near the shadowy outer rim, the old man in traveler’s clothes went dead white.

His fingers dug like steel claws into the forearm of the tall, dark-haired man beside him. The old man’s mouth parted, forming a single, silent word into the cold air.

Beside him, the younger man—Caelan Voss—went entirely rigid.

He didn't bow. His posture didn't break. But through my wolf’s heightened senses, I could hear his pulse hammer like a war drum. His jaw clenched so tight the muscle twitched, his knuckles turning stark white where his hands rested at his sides. For years, he had tracked a phantom scent across the territories, chasing a ghost.

Now, the ghost stood ten paces from him, wrapped in silver fur.

A few feet away from me, Sutton’s wolf had completely flattened into the dirt. Her ears were pinned flat against her skull, her tail tucked so tight between her hind legs it trembled against her belly. The predator who had pinned me to the earth seconds ago was whining—a thin, pathetic whimper of terror.

She shimmered, the shift unspooling out of her in panic. Her bones shrank back into human flesh. Sutton scrambled backward on her elbows, scraping her bare thighs against the rocks, clutching frantically at the fresh, bloody mark Greyson had left on her throat.

It wasn't a badge of honor anymore. With every Alpha-blooded wolf in the clearing pinned to the dirt, that bite mark just made her look completely defenseless.

She stared up at me, her eyes wide, white, and hollow with absolute horror.

No one moved. No one dared to draw a full breath.

Then, footsteps cut through the silence.

The elder stepped out from the shadowed tree line. He walked into the circle with the calm, measured stride of a man who owned the earth beneath his boots. As he cleared the perimeter of torches, he stopped holding back.

He let his own aura drop.

It rolled over the clearing like a second thunderclap. It was identical to mine—the same ancient weight, the same sovereign authority, but tempered by decades of rule. Wolves who were already kneeling were driven flat onto their stomachs, groaning under the impossible pressure.

Greyson, his head forced down toward the wood, looked up with dilated pupils. The remaining color drained completely from his face.

He recognized him. Ironveil’s Alpha finally realized who had been standing unnoticed in the back of his banquet hall all night.

The Lycan King.

The King didn't look at Greyson. He didn't spare a glance for Sutton shivering in the mud. He walked straight toward me, his weathered eyes shining with something raw, fierce, and entirely undone.

He reached into the breast pocket of his coat and pulled out a small, heavy piece of dark iron filigree.

He crouched down by my front paw, beside the shattered fragments Sutton had crushed in the dirt. He laid his piece down beside them. The metal groaned with the same faint hum of ancient wolfsbane seals. The fractured edges matched perfectly.

The King rose slowly, turning to face the ruined clearing, his voice carrying the immovable finality of Lycan sovereign law.

"This wolf carries the blood of my house," he said, the words shaking with decades of grief and sudden, absolute fury. "This is my daughter."
