Chapter 1

Meagia walked into the lobby of the resplendent hotel with an air of confidence and poise. The heads of the waiters turned as she glided across the marble floor, her long blonde hair flowing dress trailing behind her. Her gait was perfect just like the makeup she had been wearing, framing her striking features and accentuating her beauty.

“I hope Cinhard will like this little present of mine. He has been stressed a lot lately due to his sister’s wedding.” As she approached the elevator, the doorman nodded respectfully and opened the door for her. The whole hotel was booked by the renowned Creslorn pack, after all Clara was the alpha’s daughter who was going to get married tomorrow.

Meagia stepped inside and pressed the button for the top floor, a mischievous smile playing at the corners of her lips. She had spent the whole day in dressing up nicely underneath the lavender dress she had been wearing. Of course, the undergarments play never fail. “I want to witness his reaction when he sees me wearing his see through lingerie.”

As the elevator ascended, the woman took a deep breath, steadying herself for what's to come. She knew that her boyfriend would be waiting for her in their suite, and she was eager to surprise him. Finally, the elevator doors opened, and the woman stepped out into a luxurious hallway adorned with shimmering chandeliers and plush carpeting. She walked hurriedly towards their suite, her high heels clicked on the floor making a feeble sound.

“Gosh! Everything is so quiet for now. Just a few hours to go to Clara’s bachelor party.” Meagia became excited to attend that with Cinhard, hoping that he would announce her as his mate. Even though she was wolfless, Meagia believed that Cinhard would definitely take her as his mate. Tomorrow his father, the alpha of the Creslorn pack was supposed to transfer the authority to Cinhard, and that way he could take Meagia as his woman easily.

As she reached the door, her heart beat faster with anticipation of spending the night with him. She paused for a moment, taking a deep breath when Meagia found the door was already slightly ajar. “You have made a wise decision, Clara. Marrying the alpha of the Gravestone pack will benefit us in every way.” Meagia could recognize the voice of Cinhard, who was perhaps talking to his sister Clara.

“You are right, he is one of the strongest alpha. Everyone bows before him, I am still surprised how he randomly chose me as his woman.” Clara responded with a reassuring voice as she was mildly surprised but happy too. The Gravestone pack was one of the strongest and their alpha was deemed a ruthless beast with whom nobody messed up.

“Who cares, as long as you get to bathe in luxury and power. Your marriage with him will elevate our pack too. And since I will become the alpha, having a stronger brother-in-law will aid in my reputation too.” Cinhard remarked, acknowledging that his future would be bright if everything went well.

“That is if you will stop roaming with that wolf less filth. You know why father is always angry with you, yet you prefer gawking that good for nothing skunk. Come one brother! You can find some any hot girl, especially someone who has a wolf!” The disgust in Clara’s voice stunned Meagia, she had never felt that hatred before whenever they met. And now all of a sudden her attitude towards her wolfless status changed in her eyes.

Meagia’s heart dropped, her firm steps staggered a bit but she managed to keep herself from falling. Somewhere in her heart she wished for Cinhard to reply to her sister and shut her up. And she waited for that to happen, that was the reason she stood there despite the first blow.

“Oh, don’t you worry about her, she is a nobody whom I will eventually eradicate. I have faith in you that you will help me in that regard.” Cinhard’s voice turned dark and malicious, Meagia could not believe what she heard ahead. “My sources told me, the alpha has a sister too. If you can wrap him around your finger, we can strengthen our alliance.”

Meagia stood outside the door, her body trembling with emotion as tears streamed down her face. The sound of her sobs became muffled as she covered her mouth through the silent hallway, as she felt as though her heart was breaking into a million pieces.

She had been so in love with Cinhard, and always thought that he felt the same way. But the way he had reciprocated her emotions Meagia never felt as if she was being lied to. But at that moment she did not know what to do after that. She clutched at her chest, as if trying to ease the physical pain that accompanied her heartbreak.

How could he have done this to her? The man she had trusted with her heart had shattered it into a million pieces. As Meagia stepped back and turned around, the silence around her was now almost deafening. Her mind was racing with thoughts and emotions, and she felt as though she could not breathe. She could not bear the thought of facing him, of seeing him with someone else, with alpha’s sister.

“I…I have to leave.” Finally, Meagia gathered the strength to step away from the door, and she slowly began to walk down the hallway. She knew that she needed to disappear from the pack, to put distance between herself and the man who had broken her heart. Now that Cinhard was going to be the Creslorn pack’s next alpha and he had no intention of taking her as his mate, Meagia knew she had to vanish from the sight.

As she took bigger steps to turn around the corner, the silence of the hallway was broken by the sound of her quiet sobs, a testament to the pain and heartbreak that she had been feeling. One night and everything was turned upside down. “Meagia?” It was the moment when someone grabbed her arm as she was heading out.

Meagia looked at the woman, it was her step sister. “Rancel. What…?” She could not even complete her words when she hugged Rancel immediately. “What happened?” The step sister was taken aback by the sudden change, since they both never got along well. “Come with me. I will get you a drink.”

Rancel took her to the bar as it was just about a few hours till bachelor’s night. A sinister smile appeared on her lips, as she took Meagia to execute her plan. The moon goddess had finally blessed her with the perfect chance, where she could frame Meagia and destroy her relationship with Cinhard. Unaware of what had happened between them before, she was willing to do anything to get Cinhard.
